What knife is most user friendly for you and fast at opening and closing?

The easiest opening knife I have is a Strider SnG, I can use the studs or the oval hole opener to open it lightening fast. The easiest closing knife would be any axis lock knife.

Agree on Spyderco Gayle Bradley -- incredibly well put together -- and it shows.

Wife and I both have a 2001 UT6 p/s.

O man if I wouldn't spent half a decade in prison if I got caught carrying the UT6, beautiful. My fastest would be the para2 with the zip tie! Looks tacky but it works. I'll eventually run across a CQC10 and be happy.

I'll agree with the axis locks but go one step further and say size makes a big difference. I am pretty fast with my 530 because the length is just right. While I can open my 806 quickly, it is so long that it is a bit awkward to close quickly.

Any of my one-handers is easy to open. I find lockbacks to be the easiest to close.

I've never cared about speed of opening, so as to which is fastest, I have no idea.

Spyderco Para I for me, though with gloves on it's the Millie. FWIW I've never been a much of fan of assisted openers, waves and flippers.

Of all the knives in my collection the fasted opening and closing are my Mini Grips, in particular my Ritter. It's just as smooth as can be! Of my other knives the fasted opener I have is my ZT 0350.

endura ffg in zdp for ease of use, cuda maxx for speed. i believe if a person is practiced in hie index of knife the flipper is superior to an auto.--dennis

Either my hest/f where the bottle openner works as a wave or my Ray Laconico tanto folder, quick whip of the wrist and that monster blade flies out

I have a fair number of folders but I find the Spyderco Para Military the most user friendly for opening with lighting speed and with the ability of closing with ease also since the index finger works the lock release allowing you to keep your thumb on the blade after opening. My spdy is below in digi camo. It doesn't have the strength as my Emerson CQC-10 shown below but it is sure fast to operate.

What knife is most user friendly for you and lightning fast at opening (excluding autos and spring assisted).

My ZT 0200 opens really fast, and closes fast for me too. Love it.
I have been thinking about getting a full size Military. Do you think it would open fast too, or would be much slower than the Para?

my millie opens as fast as the endura. i use the thumbnail in the hole to flick it open. if that's new to one , they should practice with the blade edge taped .--dennis

I can take this from my right front pocket and flip it open before anyone even realizes that they need a knife. Large blade, sturdy, SLIM, fast. It's my absolute EDC.

If you have read any of my posts then you should know that I keep tight pivots on my folders. That said, the JWS SD-3 custom I have has the sweetest action of all of my knives. It just gently falls into the lockup position with one flip of the thumb. The other knife that nearly matches the smoothness of this one is my Kershaw 3600 Volt. Love 'em both!!:)

Btw, I added my response before I read all of the posts. Looks like you have excellent taste Los Angele's!:thumbup::)
