What knife made you say "I don't really need any more"?

When I got my hands on 3 sebenza's that really satisfied me for about 2 years. I recently went into wal-mart and saw the CRKT Ripple they had. I bought it on the spot. I was amazed at the quality of the knife at the price (30 bucks). So I went online  and looked up the model to see some reviews, then it linked me to another model, and another, and etc... I saw all I had missed in the last 2 years and now I am catching up. You might get a knife that will be your one and only for a while, but eventually you will be back. Edit: Never really understood the fascination with the hinderer's. I had a XM-18 and sold it within the week. It is a strong knife, but so are many others with better looking designs in my eyes. But that is just me. I guess I am the extreme minority because those things are on fire here. Now.. the ZT 0560 I like with the sculpted G10 and titanium handle, and the price is exactly right! And it looks NICE!...

Only my wallet tells me when to stop buying knives.

I'm a user not a collector (not that there's anything wrong with collecting). And though I have a variety of knives, I occasionally see a knife that I believe I might have a use for, if not today, then maybe someday. And I'd hate to miss out on a good knife because I didn't buy it and it gets discontinued.

I use different knives for different purposes. One, two, or even six knives wouldn't be enough in my opinion. Of course, if I absolutely had to I could get by with at least two knives, but I like variety.

It happened to me with the Super Blue Spyderco Caly 3.5. It has been in my pocket since it was released, the longest time any knife has monopolized the EDC role. I just don't have any desire to swap it out for one of my other favorites.

Most or if not all are/were enough of a knife not to need anymore. That being said, my XM is perfect as an all purpose working knife. I truly could spend $1,000 a day on knives if I could afford it. I am finding that 3 folders of different size and styles works for me.

99% of the time you only need one knife. But, this is Blade Forums, tell me who here joined because they were really
done with knives. Come on, an alcoholic doesn't go to a bar to quit drinking. :p

Hmmm...hasn't happened with knives yet. My two 3.5" XM-18's (one slicer, one spanto) are pretty much near perfect, but still want to get a 3" or two. Have a 560 and 561 on preorder, still buying Busse's, have numerous CRK's, Spyderco, BM, Bark River, ESEE and ZT...and I'm still thinking about a Randall or two also. I guess eventually it will happen, after all my guitar and amp collecting has gone by the wayside. At one point I had 13 Paul Reed Smith guitars, plus numerous other Fender, Gibson, etc. Finally found the couple electric, and couple acoustic that will get me to the end. Still searching for blades though :)

Skookum bush tool. 5 years and $6 G ago.

Last knife....right. I was just entering the gateway. :)

I spent several years looking for a 3.5 inch hard use folding knife for outdoor/survival purposes.

I tried about 12 different brands, the usual suspects, including Sebenza/Umnumzaan, Strider, Fallkniven, etc.
After getting an XM-18 I stopped. It was simply the best of them all in that genre.

For fixed blades, I have stopped after buying a few Fehrmans because their 3V is better than anything else I have ever used.

I don’t need any more big tough knives, however, I am now interested in small gentlemen’s folders, and more specialized blade shapes, so that search goes on. The Al Mar Mini Sere is winning the small gents category....

Not really. I have all the folders and fixed blade I can use but there's always the elusive chase for "The One" I guess. When makers stop coming out with cool new stuff, I'll be done...

There are some good points here. I suppose time will tell. To be honest though, I am having thoughts of my next knife purchase(s) being gifts. The guy that is going to be my best man took a liking to the para 2 also and his birthday is coming up;)

I like the design plus the blade steels. Super-steels attract me. I'm not done buying knives; don't want to quit.

my ZT0300 pretty much ended my knife buying. I havent really felt a need to buy another folder since getting the ZT.

I'm sure I'll buy more knives in the future, but I felt "done" after getting my Emerson Gentleman Jim. Right now I have a Spyderco Chaparral, a Bradley Alias I, and the Emerson on my dresser; between those three, I haven't wanted anything else.

I always tell myself im not going to spend big money on knives; i just got this Brend Marauder yesterday for 495.00

Most of the condor T&K lineup.......
Damn condor they have new knives this year, so the Hudson Bay will not be my last as they have the dundee bowie.:D

There have been quite a few that made me say that. The important thing is not to listen when that happens.
