What knife really made ya!

A BattleRat was my first Bussekin product, a Scrapper 6 was my first Scrap Yard product, and a custom SFNO Bowie was my first Busse Combat I think, followed by a Scotch Dispenser.

SH-E and Assault Shakers are the first contacts I had. Loved them but never picked them up when they were around, like an idiot. Still have a soft spot for the Uncle Mofo. Knew a guy that carried two Assault Shakers, handle up, in kydex with tek-locks on the front of this belt. It was a sweet set up

The Fusion Battle Mistresses.

I had seen all these acronyms floating around various boards.........FBM, CGFBM, FBMLE, FFBM, FFFBM, NMFBM, etc when discussions about survival knives or hardcore choppers were going on.

Whenever I looked into them finally the videos on youtube and the posts here sold me.

CGFBM, then came the HHFSH. It all went downhill from there.

I recently learned of this HHFSH when I decided to find out what knife is in the Busse logo.

Now I must have one. :) Seems they are quite rare though and now command a premium, close to or more than double the original price.

My first kin was the ratmandu. I was looking for one perfect knife. Now I have about 10 perfect knives :)

I remember ordering the CABS as my first Busse simply because they were gonna be removed from the website. I planned on reselling it later. When I opened the box, I couldn't believe how awesome it was! Needless to say I still have it...and a few more...

What caught my eye and made me a Busse fan were the classic Busses of old that predate my entry into the world. My first was a BATAC but my favorites are the ones from before, including the FSH, Badger, and original Satin Jack. I've owned most of them since the BATAC and would probably rate the Boss Street (.22" hollow ground), ASH-1 LE, SFNO-LE, and NMSFNO-LE as my favorites, though if I had to grab one knife in an emergency it would be my Embrace the Suck SJTAC. It just works -- not the prettiest, but good for anything, from self-defense to cutting up a prime New York. Thank you Jerry for creating some fine knives and to Garth and crew for making them. Request to The Janitor -- bring those Anniversary blades to the trough and remind us piglets of the early Busses that we missed out on!

CGFBM got me interested but I don't own one yet. However, out of the Busse-kin knives I actually own and use, the DogFather made me a life long customer. I just love hitting wood with it. I am probably going to get another DFLE before I got a CGFBM though.

SAR-8, I think it is highly underrated. The SAR-8 sent my CS Trailmaster down the road...no regrets!
