What knife slowed you down the most?

And for how long?

I bought an umnum about 3 weeks ago and haven't seriously considered another purchase since. Haven't carried anything else either which is odd for me. I even passed on some good deals on the exchange for knives that are on my running "wish list".

This can't last, right?

No, it won't last... there is always something better:o... but as the saying goes, You can never have too many knives...:D

The Umnumzaan is a sweet knife. I carried one for a while years ago.

I got a Nirvana last week and I'm totally smitten. I'm obsessed with this thing. In fact , I was planning on buying a couple other knives a few days ago but I decided to get another Nirvana instead. I like having a user and a beauty queen stashed away nice and safe.

My Protech TR-5 SA is my EDC here in Cali but my Rat Worx MRX is such an awesome knife..not getting tired of it one bit. Just can't carry it out here.
More knives? Oh yes, then there is that problem :-)

Once I had my Large 21 seb, Cruwear manix 2, zt 770cfM4 and some ideal traditionals in hand, I really slowed up.
For a while it felt like I was buying and selling knives weekly...

The Seb was made on my daughters birthday.
Cruwear/M4 takes and holds the edges I want.
Trads: Modded Sodbusters, and some old out of production users and I am happy.

Can that really happen ? ? ? ?
Nice . . . oh no . . . nice . . . oh no . . .

Obviously I have nothing intelligent to add to this conversation other than to say this thread is seriously lacking in photos. I was furiously googling knife photos just to try to keep educated here . . .

Does that there Thornburn L51 really have a carbon fiber pocket clip or am I imagining it ?

Oh and to answer the question : Buck 110 way back in the day. That slowed me down for a good while.

For me it was the Star-tac Umnumzaan, because it's such a great knife and also blew my budget for a few months.

The ZT0630 slowed me down. One handed fast deployment. The ZT clip, which I feel is one of the toughest and best clips out there. And a nice blade shape that works very well for my summer work. But I know it won't last. I've slowed down before, but always manage to pull myself out of the slump. :)

this thread is seriously lacking in photos.

I buy in spurts. I'll go for three or four months and not buy anything and then I'll buy two or three the next month. It varies. I'm not running a race.

A lot depends on IF I visit a knife store.

Carried my buck 482 every single day for 2yrs even after getting other blades ( It even instantly replaced the current edc that I had been carrying a long time , which normally doesn't happen )
Honestly I probably would've never edc'd anything else if the BF's didn't persuade me to give some of my other blades a chance.
