What knife slowed you down the most?

But oddly enough I think this one pretty killed my folder hoarding for a good while. I havnt considered another folder since carrying it. A 5.5" clip point with a super strong lock and light enough for gym shorts, it can pretty much do anything.

I think I see where you re going with this. Is this a progression or regression? Just kidding. That Cold Steel is an impressive knife.
While I normally don t care how people react to my knife when I open it to use it, I d like to see the reaction to that knife when you pull it out in a group of people.
That knife fascinates me.

What slowed me down actually isn't an expensive knife, but its worth a lot to me. My kids got me a Kershaw Amplitude 3.25 for fathers day and it has been all I've carried since.

The Gayle Bradley and 940-1 has caused me to nearly stop buying altogether. At the moment I'm just downsizing.

oxman198 - the Cold Steel large Voyager clip-point did it for me for a while too. Bumped my Manix II out of the rotation for probably a year or more, and I didn't do much buying/trading for a long time.

I go through a "slow-down" every once in a while. It's kind of cyclicle for me.

I'd have to say that the one piece that slowed me down the first time, is my Spyderco Manix II (black DLC saber-ground S30V plain edge blade & hardware) with J. Grimsmo custom aluminum scales, anodized bronze. The Manix II is my favorite Spyderco design. I settled on this one being the centerpiece of my EDC rotation a couple years ago. I'll buy new knives, and carry those for a bit, but sooner or later I'll start missing this one, and I won't buy anything new for a while.

#2- Stellite 6K Tom Mayo covert.
#3- My flipper trio from Mac Wasil with K390, Carbon Damascus, and S110v blades.

I did own a Stellite 6K Les Voorhies that I had a while before buying anything else, but I sold that.

I'm probably the only person on this forum who doesn't like crk lol. Personal preference I guess. The knife that slowed me down the most was either my Spyderco pm2 or my Spyderco southard. Ended up selling the southard though. Decided I liked the techno more

I'm not really into CRK. Not that they are bad knives, they just do not appeal to me at all.

Most recently, the ZT 0450. I've gotten other since those first came out, but the 0450 keeps making it back into the rotation more often than not.

Busse Anniversary Mean Street. Took a lot of looking, but I found the one.

As far as folders go, I sorted that out a long time ago with a Sere 2K. I owned hundreds of comparable folders and that one kicked everything else out of my pocket. It's perfect to me.

I very rarely get slowed down, but this one scratched the itch for quite some time!
It kinda ticked all the boxes for me!
This thing is sooooo smooth is ridiculous, the action is amazing, I love the blade profile, great materials and sexy as can be!
Sent it to Josh for one of his fantastic mirrored edges, mainly cause it showed up dull as a hammer!!
