What knife would you like to see next from CPK?

Since ive asked about us ever seeing a CPK Karambit and never got a answer so how about a CPK personal survival knife or P.S.K with a 2 or 3 inch blade and a 3 or 3.5 inch handle...no handle scales just the blade and a kydex sheath for it !
That way it can be placed just about anywhere from around your neck to in your boot, pocket or waistline...just enough blade to useful but not so long it gets to bulky ....that way when your out and about in the woods or whereever and you forget your Fk or edc or dek or whatever and you need a knife good thing you got your P.S.K somewhere on your person .... As the saying goes the most important knife you have is the. One you have in your hand when you need it not sitting in a safe or at the bottom of your back pack ....

I've been sketching up some kerambit type things as a result of your previous post and am currently working in steel on the latter suggestion

Nathan had stated in the past that his philosophy on knife making is centered around traditional American knives with emphasis on modern material, design and manufacturing processes ( CAD, CNC, advancements in metallurgy, etc). While the thread topic was created for people to express their wishes, it doesn't mean that every such expression will elicit an as to why and why not response from Nathan himself. #stillnotnathan

Additionally, I doubt if Nathan will ever release any knives without handle scales because frankly speaking (no pun, OK pun!) the CPK scales are truly a very crucial part of the over all end product. Some people have removed the scales in the past to use either with bare handles (may not fit the custom made CPK kydex sheaths perfectly) or have gone with alternatives such as paracord wrapping.

PSK is a misnomer because it can be interpreted in a multitude of ways just like Nathan's favorite design of all times, i.e, a Bowie :p IIRC, Nathan had also said in the past that he will not produce a knife intended for field use under a certain thickness because that would contradict his design philosophy for his CPKs. I imagine that he would never allow some knucklehead (me for instance) to baton on a CPK which was specifically NOT designed for any such purposes.

Yep. I remember last year a guy warning me that they keep track of those that profit off of reselling CPK knives for a profit, although I have never sold one. But I haven't seen him say anything to those that actually do it...

The only person, people rather, whose opinion(s) really matter are Nathan & Jo on this subject. For lack of a better word, Nathan has been remarkably liberal (cool? tolerant?) about how and how much his knives are resold or at least has been well restrained about this subject which to me, is sign of a very confident maker who is not petty and who is not into micro managing every aspect of his products after they leave the Mothership.

Nathan has repeatedly stated that knife collecting should be a fun hobby not filled with drama. Yes, there have been a couple of egregious cases in the past when I could tell that even his cool demeanor and temperaments were tested but nothing turned into drama. Other people may run a secret list of who and whom to do business or not to do business with and that's their prerogative. Counting other people's money is a crass and tacky practice ;)

I would like to see some 3 foot sections of security chain in delta 3V, 9/16 thick links. I'd like to lock up my steel containers securely.
I think Nathan's chain would be the most secure in the world💪
Damn it D3V chain would be crazy 😁
Imagine D3V chain for your 4x4 offroad trips 😂

that way when your out and about in the woods or whereever and you forget your Fk or edc or dek or whatever and you need a knife good thing you got your P.S.K somewhere on your person
How one can go to the woods and forget FK or EDC or DEK or any CPK at all?
Personally I sleep with my CPKs😂 and when going to the woods I bring every I have with me 😁

That's awesome !... I can't wait to see what you come up with as i too have been sketching different designs from Karambit's to a wakizashi/tanto inspired short sword. To the psk
To large choppers mainly to pass the time ...
Though i have one question about the Karambit design and that what are your thoughts on what they call cocktail feathers on the spine of the Karambit? ( cocktail feathers as it was explained to me as 2 or 3 slights, cuts or grooves on the spine of the blade close to the handle that are mainly used for catching and trapping a blade or clothing or skin or flesh causing more damage on the back swing etc etc ....

Nathan and Jo had nothing to do with it. I just thought it peculiar that the comment was aimed at me, someone that was new to CPK at the time and had never sold one of their knives. But I've been watching ever since and have never heard him run his mouth to those that 'actually' do it.
