What knife would you like to see next from CPK?

I think that it’s pretty neat that one of Ben Tendick’s thumb knives is featured in this video. Overall, a pretty interesting video. Thank you, Elgatodeacero.

As far as “next” blades, I’m still in for skinners, in multiple flavors.
In keeping with my love for Japanese style blades, a few have mentioned tantos. Nathan’s K20s are amazing and I think his tanto design would be equally fine and much easier to design and produce. Something that may still be used in camp, woods, and kitchen, if desired. Dare I say, a scaled up Scraiken (which I really like), with a wide-ish, 7” blade? Mark - I’m in for a prototype 😊. Mike
The TRC M-1XT fits this bill, and has fantastic reviews. A CPK version would be.... pleasing.

The mention of a micro-EDC is exciting, fo' sho'.

But I'll join the lurching, drooling zombie majority having had their fill of brainz, and go with folder.

Addendum;
A 4-5" Shiv with the same 2.0 handle ergos, blade proportions, even the same stock width, would have an altar built for it in my household.

You've already said you weren't going to make any more daggers but, if you change your mind, I'm in too! 😍

There was some form of Integral on Nathan's Whiteboard in the past. Maybe it was an Integral Shiv? I don't know how far up or down that Whiteboard his concept of CPK-Integral Something is currently at but with his completion of Shiv 2.0 pattern plus the limited run of the Pig Sword, Maybe Nathan has some nifty ideas to set forth. Price wise he had previously said ~ cost of a crown but didn't specify where or what dentist he had chosen for that cost scale but that was a few years back! I'd say maybe the cost of ~ 2 x crown-abutment these days in the metro NC areas to be on the safe side?

I think he meant like the pointy hat the King of England wears...

How about a nice little kitchen utility or petty?

Oh! And an axe. An axe would be swell. Has axe been suggested yet?

Personally I would love to see a very light, thin, slicey blade of 3.5 to 4 inches. A scalpel, trusting the tweaked D3V (or tweaked MagnaCut) to hold a very fine edge.

That’s a departure, maybe. People couldn’t baton their way through oak or whatever. But I think it would appeal to a lot of users as an unbeatable everyday blade.

I'm voting for a skinner preorder!
Prices should be updated for the current market, but something like this :

Blades are 3 5/8" hollow ground, 7 3/8 OAL.

D2 with cold treatment and tempered to 60-61. This is the perfect steel for this kind of knife (IMO) and this is a high quality HT that has been proven to perform. They come with a basic leather pouch sheath. I think they turned out fairly well, but there are minor imperfections of course, and that is the reason for the price spread.

1 is ground just under .020". This knife turned out the best IMO. $140 sold

2 is ground right at .020". $130 sold

3 is ground just over .020" and has black canvas micarta scales $120 NFS

4 is ground to .009" and is .020 about 1/8" up into the grind which is getting into the same neighborhood as a straight razor. At 60-61 a knife this thin will be fragile and is probably not for everybody. My personal skinning knife is made this way, and I thought perhaps some other knife nut might like it like that too. $130 sold

They will be sharpened before I ship.

I take checks, cash and money orders.
