What knife would you use in a survival scenario?

If you were in a 72 hr+ off grid survival scenario what one knife would you trust to fill the role of a survival knife? To make kindling, to prepare food, make a spear, make a shelter or to battle a zombie (just kidding with that last part). I personally would trust the TOPS silent hero. Looking forward to hearing your feedback!

One of these.

I already own them, and I think I'm smart enough not to snap the blade off doing something stupid. Probably the Ka-Bar, because it looks too new, as is. I need to scuff it up a little, and the Ontario has already been out in the woods a few times.

Edit to add the picture back in. I must have deleted it on my photo hosting sight (I'm always moving stuff around on there).

ESEE 6. Since I rarely camp or hike anymore, I've thinned the fixed blade herd but the ESEE 4 and 6 aren't going anywhere.

I'll say it again too. I wish the ESEE 5 wasn't .25 stock. It was the perfect sized knife imo.

It might only be 1095 but I don't feel comfortable having someone remove that much material (I've had this suggestion in the past).

If it's a planned adventure, I'd still have my edc White River Sendero Classic, and a decent folder. So, likely something with 8 or more inches of blade. On the small side, the SOG S1 is actually a quite decent user, even if it is a little thick.
I think the CS Survivalist is a really capable piece of steel. 52100 with a good heat treatment is not something to be scoffed at. The Becker BK-5, if weight was important.

Where is the situation and what time of year? Lot’s of great knives being suggested so far. Having spent many nights in a jungle, I would choose a machete for there. Up here in winter, a quality chopper or hatchet (no metal handles/grips as cold radiates like crazy). Up here in summer, a quality chopper or honestly any rugged 4-8” fixed blade would be fine.

Both of these have treated me well in the woods over the years. I wish I still had the JPK.

If I say Kukri, do I get the little smaller knife that rides along as well?

Only if you can name it without googling it ;)

72 hours doing a laundry list of survival chores? Gonna be boring and practical and say a Leatherman with a saw. I see no need to limb or baton unless I've brought a tool to do it and have calories to spare.

There isn't much that cant be done or tools crafted that a good multitool can't take care of regarding my limited skillset.
