Hopefully this thread wont cause anyone to break a New Years resolution already. But what knives are you looking forward to for 2009?

I'm still trying to force myself to simplify my knife collection down to just a few knives. I really want to find my perfect knives.

I'm looking at a Ray Lacioncio HKW+, a scandi bushcraft, and a new knife for my PSK, maybe a Becker Necker or something similar. I'm also considering parting with my BK7, Chris Reeve's Skinner, SOG Revolver, and a few others to make room (and money!).

L!

I'd like a Ray L! he makes em so sweet. I also want a Rukus, my folder collection has been on hold (economy), but that is one nice blade I'd like to have, for size and I luv Axis ;)

Bark River Bravo 2, Gunny and no doubt several others, also a RC3 and Iluza maybe.

Only one that I can think of. I really want a Bark River Snowy River.

I don't have the coin to get one and there are some other needs in line first. I may have to trade something off but I'll have one before the year is out.

If I get anything else it'll be a better folding saw, an Alox Farmer and maybe a One Hand Trekker. SAK's and saws seem to be high on my list lately.

This year I'm going to try to get more equipment & a few less knives:o
The knives I'm looking at now are -
1- Breeden - Tyson Bushcrafter
2- Stomper - Budget model
3- Ka-Bar/Becker BK-9
I'de say these 3 will do me for the year :D I really need A good 3day pack &
stuff like that instead of knives.

Ritter RSK fixed blade!!!!
The new Orange Griptilian.
Southpaw Sebenza (maybe...still trying to convince myself it's worth the money) :D

Skookum (maybe, haven't decided)
Wicked cool dave farmer on order
BHK bushcrafter

Not really anything else I can think of on my 'want' list! Also gonna be selling off a couple more blades soon. I've got too many good ones.

RAT Izula
BM 943
W/SS Koster necker
Spyderco Paramilitary
Spyderco Ladybug III
benchmade Benchmite
Mora's
Ritter Griptilian
Something from Stomper

Doubt I am going to purchase any knives this year. My grandfather passed away about 18 months ago and my grandma has been collecting all of my grandpa's knives for me. I need other things far more than a new knife. Besides I haven't designed my perfect multi-tool, folder, or sheath knife yet.

Fiddleback Woodsman, Laconico project W, and not much more after that. I might get another by Stomper and I have a friend from WI (DJJ here on BF) who is a knifemaker and we are thinking about doing a passaround on one of his beauties.

I have a Graham brothers pocket kukri on order, and for some reason I really want that new Case trapper lock...I can't seem to figure out why. I have no other case knives. It's not even the type of knife I usually buy and yet I can't stop looking at a picture of it in the catalog.

I'm looking forward to my Koster W&SS forum knife. It smacks of EDC potential.

Other than that, my only planned purchase (at this point) is an Enzo.

But, if I found a sack of money in front of my door tomorrow, I would be all over a Kephart from JK and a few Nessmuks.

All the best,

- Mike

Koster BushMaster in 3V which will probably be the biggest knife I'll ever need.
Maybe something from Stomper. I'm looking forward to his bushcraft passaround to come around.
If I get my guitar effect pedal hobby to bring in some cash I may expand my knife-buying. We'll see how the local musicians and shops take to it...

This but polished and with a brass bolster. Should be done by the end of the month(been waiting 4 months so far)

I think it's just an ML WBN in antiqued ash for me, That will round out the 2 and 3-blade combo's I use. Like this one, but for me :)

I want a Severtech Spartan and another of the Tanto model for a safe queen, I also have a David Mosier on order that is about 5 months out and a Strided PT is on order. Besides that I am pretty set. Fact is I ought to sell a couple of knives that are not getting used and won't get used.
