The ONLY knives mine even bothers with are my mini autos.
I have a Microtech and a Pro Tech Sprint. She must've said..."That's soooooo cute"....a million times!!
I no longer view them as cool!!
😀
This really made me laugh [emoji1]

My wife borrowed my M4 MiniGrip with CF Cuscadi scales about a year ago....yea, I am thinking it was more of a gift then a "borrow".
I sold "my wife's" yellow mini grip like two years ago. She's still mad about that one.

Some of your wives got some cool knives btw.

Mini grip. Tango with partial serrations.

Not my taste in blade style, but hey, if she likes it and it works for her, all the better.

Forgot to mention, she also likes the CRKT Foltz minimalist Bowie. Keeps it in her center console. Loves the way it fits her hand.

Do you view them as cute then?

The vast majority of women that I know would never consider carrying a knife. The handful that do want a smaller folder for their purse/keychain. I have only met one woman that actively decided on carrying a full sized fixed blade, and she was teaching in the far north. My wife also uses a pink stainless Mora Companion at home. Gratefully without incident after opening her thumb with an endura last year.

I've bought my wife a few knives, but her two favorites right now, without a doubt, are her Kershaw Leek, and her Buck Metro bottle opener.

Bunny Gummies!

I bought my wife a Delica. She keeps it in her desk and uses it to open packages. I sharpen it and clean off the gunk every once and a while. She may not notice but at least it is getting used.

I got my girlfriend an opinel and a custom fixed blade made by Wayne Childress. She uses both.

My wife is not much in to knives but she likes a lot of my higher end knives. When I started my business I told her she had to carry a knife. The first knife she picked was a kershaw Rainbow Scallion. A few months later she was helping me box up knives and fell in love with the ZT0350. She still carries it in her purse everyday. Not too long ago she was at a fancy baby shower and someone needed a knife. She pulled her ZT0350 out and handed it to one of the ladies. When she did you could hear a pin drop in that room for a solid minute as she got a bug eyed look from every woman there!

I acquired through trade a BM Fixed Grip. At first my wife was pretty indifferent to it, but she borrowed it while on a beach fishing trip as there had been a dingo or two around. Now its her knife. Good grip, and a mean blade, she is ready to tacking anything with it.

She has a couple other knives, and does appreciate sharp stuff, but doesn't collect like I do. She had a Buck Prince, but it seems to have gotten misplaced in a move, or is in storage. I might have to replace that one.

I got a couple of Benchmade 531s for me and my wife. She loves that little thing. They are currently with Benchmade getting matching engravings on the blades.

I just ask my wife . She answered Swiss Army the Red One . Ok

Funny you should say that. When my wife and I were dating, I bought her a Vic Super Tinker and told her to put it in the glove box of her car. She took the time to be polite and say thank you but you could tell by the tone of her voice and her body language that she felt no need to own a pocket knife.

A while back we were at a family get together and someone needed a knife. So, I went to the car and grabbed the SAK. Not feeling like running back out to the car when my in law was finished with the knife, I just dropped it in my pocket. Immediately, my wife is at my side demanding that I surrender her knife. Ends up that she uses it at work and often during her lunch.

Go figure.

I gave my gal a delica and a mini grip. She favors the grip. Now if I could just get her to put in a pocket instead of the purse...

My wife use to say, "A knife is a knife, why do you need so many?" Now, she carries a Blind Horse Bushcraft when we camp/hike and has an old Colt fixed blade on her biking pack. (She don't care for folders) :D
