I was thinking of my next knives and realized they were all inspired by people on the W&SS forum.

Then, I thought how many times has that happened.

Martindale Golok
SAK open handed opening
SAK fieldmaster
SAK trekker
RD-4

I am sure there were a few that I can't recall.

Nothing yet. I have only been a member for a few months. I haven't found a Kershaw or Spyderco that I like. I have handled as many as I could find and am still not impressed. I think the only knife that I have been attracted to from this forum is the Chris Reeve hollow handles, but I haven't been able to buy one yet. When I was finally able to purchase one the power steering went out in my car. Some luck. I will say that I've done a lot of trading to find the knives that I like and ended up saving a ton of money that way.

Hey Chris...

You are kidding right ?? LOL

I have to eat KFD (Kraft Dinner) 3 nights a week because of this &$@#&*% forum!! :)

All my Moras, Tramontinas and Hultafors. As well as my Helles, Ahtis, Kellams and Bruslettos and my Opinels and my Okapis. I think that about sums it up.

all my knives that is except for the old ccc's. Strider SMF, benchmades, spyderco, buck, vic, etc

6 of the W&S forum knives (once I get the last 4). I just ordered 3 Bark Rivers that should be made next year some time- for some reason knife magazines ignore these knives that are raved about here. Many others that I probably would have bought anyways but got insight from the great people here.

for some reason knife magazines ignore these knives that are raved about here.

In general, knife and gun magazines completely ignore any company that doesn't buy the big dollar color advertisements in their magazines. It is sad, but that just seems to be the way it is. Of course that is also the reason that there has never been a negative review in any knife or gun magazine. If the writer says something bad, the company may pull the advertisements. That = lost money which is a bad thing for the magazine.

So far:
Sog Revolver
BK7
Krein Bushcraft (and a TK1 to keep it company)
Ontario machete

But the what's next list is what is frightening! Hopefully my Krein'ies will subdue the urge for a while. Though I do plan to buy an ax very soon.

Good post!

Koster Nessmuk
Fiddleback Nessmuk
Wetterlings hatchet
Koster bushcraft knife
Ontario RAT 3

2 Buck Alpha Dorados (the Buck sub forum)
1 BK-7
1 RC-3
3 Linders machetes
1 Victorinox Swiss Spirit
(still watching Busse store for new AD :( )

Doc

CS TrailHawk
2 Moras, carbon blades
One Hand Trekker
Ka-Bar 1211

and inadvertently an Ontario Mil-spec sawback machete, via a website link that was posted on here.

I have gotten HI Chitlangi Bowie and an 11" Khukuri from Sgt. Khadka. I would like to pick up a few Bark Rivers soon but I have my sights set on a Chris Reeve also.

I bought a Mercator , and I got something special coming from Valiant Co , but its for our anniversary so I dunno what it is , I only paid for it :) my Mrs isnt dumb .

I went on a machete binge a while ago , trying out theories I formulated while reading the forums , still tripping over them .

Im looking seriously at a Ka Bar heavy bowie , I have read good things about it , and its almost in reach of the current knife budget , I get curious about how the other side live , usually if I want a big knife I light up the forge , pick a leaf spring , you know the drill ... its just cool to now and then buy something someone else made even if it is a machine spawned soulless clone untouched by human hands ... till its sold .
