What knives have you purchased because of this Forum?

http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/showthread.php?t=517341

Hope this helps, those savages will probably have bought them all up by morning though.

Hey sketchbag,

Thanks for that, but I decided I would buy from the store only. This way it leaves it up to fate. One comes up, I have the cash, I buy it, if not, not. Also, it bugs me that people buy up blades, with no thought to using them, but to speculate on profit down the road. I will not contribute. Besides, I'm old - I'm allowed to be eccentric. :D

i haven't BOUGHT anything because of this forum...

but i've made several to most of my knives in some way because of the crazy W&S people.

the pocket nessie is a direct result of me asking myself what people here would carry if they were gonna carry a front pocket fixed blade or decent sized classic neck knife (classic meaning more buckskinner than tactical). And now i'm making a a few of those.

the utility/thrower, bullnose necker (got another one done!), the full size nessmuk variation, and even the clip point woodcraft knives with scanid grinds.

love this place!

Funny you posted this thread man, because I was wondering the same thing the other day.

A friend of mine told me to watch my wallet when he told me about BF, and I have done that - watched it empty out periodically :)

In short, was introduced to basically all of the knives that I have purchased/traded for in the last couple of years (with only 1 exception, I think) based off of research and feedback on BF.

Some have been misses, more due to personal taste rather than quality, but I have to say that if I could pick out one single knife that I heard about here, that has exceeded my expectations both for the Field as well as my EDC - it would be Chris Reeve Sebenza - hands down.

Without doubt it is the finest working knife that I have had the priveldge to carry and use.

The good news about the "misses" that I mentioned above, is that the trading forum here is an absolutely wonderful way to try out some great blades.

Be Well,

My two SOG Recon Bowies (although, I was researching them to purchase anyways and that's how I found this forum)
Ranger RD7
most of the knives I have were purchased before getting here.

Also, I have a list of stuff others are getting me for Xmas because of this site. That includes:
CS Trailhawk
Rat-7
Leatherman Charge TTi

The one custom I have is an EDC that Ian van Reenen made for me.

Other than that stuff, I've managed to exercise the willpower pretty well. Hopefully, I won't need anything else for quite some time.

Hey Chris...

You are kidding right ?? LOL

I have to eat KFD (Kraft Dinner) 3 nights a week because of this &$@#&*% forum!! :)

LOL

LMFAO!!! I am right there with you buddy!

I bought a Fallkniven F1 because of this forum and I really like it. I also found out about RAT through this forum.

Moras. I am also planning to get a Leatherman Blast, but not because of this forum; this forum just helped me to settle on that particular multi-tool.

Fortunately I haven't been swayed to buy any particularly expensive knives yet because of this forum. I have been swayed to do so by other forums, but I am more happy with my Moras from Ragnar. :D

This forum has persuaded me to buy a Wetterlings axe/hatchet and a Kershaw folding saw, though. Not knives, but close enough. :p

BK7
Becker Necker
F1
Cold Steel SRK in Carbon V
and the initial mora order (2000, 760 and 510)

I bought the Becker 7 because of this forum and the Necker came to me from a very generous member of this forum. Thanks again bro! :D

i can't even begin to think about all of the knives(and $$ spent), i have purchased because of this forum....:o i'm glad my wife isn't a local here....

My list of knives I am working on have all been inspired by this forum.
I will be getting them one by one in the following order:
1. F-1
2. RAT-3
3. BRKT Mini-Northstar

Until this thread was posted I really hadn't listed them all out:

On Order or Purchased Recently:

NWA Knife (2) On Order
Fiddleback Bushcraft (2) On Order
Fallkniven F1 (2)
Rat 3C (2)
Charles May OSK 1 (1)
Charles May "others" (4)

That's just the "recent" stuff. This is a bad, bad place ;)

Since becoming a regular reader of posts in the Blade Forums and especially Wilderness & Survival Skills, I have purchased four SAKs, something like 10 SOGs, a couple Dozier's, a 12" Ontario machete, 3 Spydercos, and a few others. Been mostly buying non-custom blades of late, but I do like the Dozier line. I like blades, always have since I was a kid. I sort of enjoy the spontaneous purchases at stores or shows.
