What knives would you *not* have bought?

I 2nd that!! One of the screws in my 2 month old paraframe fell out causing the lock to fail at the worst possible time.. It's a good thing I have 4 more fingers on that hand. They should have named it the ParaMedic

Yeowch. Not good that. My Paraframe lives in my laptop bag, so I don't actually use it very often... but after that story the Spydie Delica is sounding better all the time. Or maybe a RitterGrip. Hmm...

I suppose I've been lucky. I haven't felt true regret yet. I haven't bought a cheap knife since I was a kid, and I didn't know any better then, so it never bothered me. I've had nothing but good luck for about 15 years now. Spyderco, Benchmade, Blackjack, Camillus, Ka-Bar, and Ontario have all been good to me. Plus, I usually wait until an outrageous deal pops up before I buy, so 95% of the knives in my collection were purchased below half retail price. I did pick up some AUS-6 SS Delicas for like $20 from a place that was going out of business. I gave them away as gifts to non-knife people.

Buck Crosslock. Spine is made out of plastic. I had to drill the liners and insert a pin after the plastic spine failed.
Any Gerber. I have a Gerber gator that works fine now after I had to put it on the grinder any totally reset the blade angles so that they actually match. I have not seen a Gerber blade where the angles on both sides of the blade matched.
