What Knocks Your CRK Out of Your Pocket?

I rotate CRK's for EDC. If I'm going out in the field for work I carry a Victorinox Swisstool. I sold all my other knives. After carrying a Sebenza / Umnumzaan, everything else feels kinda cheap.

A Mnandi is my most carried knife but I have recently become intrigued with slip joints. Here's my most recent, a Raphael Durand Slack.

That is a sexy silhouette!

Wanting to buy or trade for solid black ebony zebra Damascus.
As pictured above. Thanks for looking!

Thanks!

I have one Shirogorov, Russian Dr D, and it is extremely nice. Excellent build quality and extremely smooth flipper. I've handled a few others and they were excellent as well.

I have a couple of Shirogorovs. A classic 95t and a Tabargan with orange G10 scales that I just could not pass up. For a Shirogorov it is the bottom of the barrel but I just liked the way it looks. 440C blade with an axis lock but tough tough tough. The 95t has a unique grind and is M390. Flips like crazy, feels like a tank, etc, etc. All true! As much as it may fall some of us to admit that anything made in Russia is subpar, those old cliches are just that, old cliches. I spend a good bit of time in the Ukraine and Russia, and while there is much that doesn't work well in those places, there are many many good people there who are good friends and pursue excellence with a passion.
Everybody that is a knife lover should get the chance to handle a 95t, the titanium has a unique soft feel to it.

lots of knives. I rotate my knives and for this month the other knives other than Large 25 Micarta I will carry Spyderco Military, Spyderco Gayle Bradley, Grayman Dua, or a Coldsteel Desperado fixed blade

I bought a new Forge De Laguiole in Damascus and Horn yesterday. It's knocking my CRK out of my pocket today, and probably for many days in the future.

Anything really.. from my $10 Opinels to my $200 ZTs it's just what I feel like carrying

Lately I have been pretty taken with my Spartan SHF. It hasn't relegated my CRK's into storage by any means, but they are definitely sharing pocket time.

Just got a Jeremy Robertson El Fuego (Calavera Cutlery) today. Really liking it so far. Will be in my pocket going to work tomorrow. Smaller knives work better for my EDC needs.

This knife! An exercise in practical, refined, simplicity, and the best pocket slicer I own. It is a handmade liner-lock folder, front opener (front flipper) model 53, made for me by forum member Gull Wing. Titanium liners and maroon Micarta scales. I've had this knife for many months and keep coming back to it when I need a break from the CRK sickness. The knife works on all levels for EDC carry, and has excellent edge retention, and a wonderful blade shape reminiscent of the Ti-Lock. This knife is not a Auto-Cad, lazer-cut, garage CNC wonder.....it is a knife that has all the attributes of a hand made item, which is a nice departure from the clinical precision of a CRK. A little "folk charm" if you will. What is certain, is that if my life depended on slicing apples, this would be my go-to blade.

Anyways.......wanted to share a few pics of the little beast. As I have said before, you never know the talent that lurks on the forums! Thanks again to Gull Wing, for designing this great blade.

That's a nifty blade! Definitely a departure from CRK, but in a good way. Currently, a MK3 TAD Dauntless is getting pocket time.

I pair my knife to what I expect that I will be doing with it that day. If it is a day out in the field more than likely it would be a heavier knife like a Strider SNG, Emerson CQC7, Hinderer etc. A normal day at the shop, Small 21, Benchmade 940 smaller knives.
