What lock for a life time? framelock or lockback?

Buzz,
Did you try disassembling and reassembling your sebenza after it had moved? It may be that all the parts were seated at their furthest point (which is why CRK advises flicking the knife after reassembly to seat the parts). If the lockbar goes back to where it was before the "workout" you gave the knife, then no real amount of wear took place.

I have disassembled and reassembled the knife many times since that hard workout. The constant forcing of the lock bar did do some permanent amount of damage. The lock bar now travels 75% of the way across the blade. When I first purchased the knife, used, the lock bar travel was approximately 65% of the way across the blade.

I have a few Sebenzas, new and old, without a doubt my favorite knife. The one I use and collect the most. However, I have a collection of Buck 110's with a couple dating back from the late 60's and early 70's. These things were used HARD and left for dead, one of them was obviously used as a hammer for a few years. It has a TON of play but it won't close when locked open. I think that says alot on the design of at least Bucks lockback. I'll get back to you in 30 or so years with a review of the Sebenza.
