What Makes A Folder A Fighting Folder?

"What Makes A Folder A Fighting Folder?"

I can think of a few things:
Idiocy
Delusions of adequacy
Thinking Chuck Norris movies are documentaries
Being 12 years old
Generous dose of PCP
Whiskey
10 years of ninja training in medieval japan
Living inside a G.I. Joe comic book

the owners, the designers, or both? Snarc, Keating, Janich, Casillas-Boggs, Ayoob, Frank, Harkins, Caracci, Emerson, Crawford, Kasper, Watson, etc.

Handle shape, the ability to handle the knife in different ways. blade shape. how the blade enters the "attacker."

and quick deployment, I.e. emerson's wave feature.

Its not the knife in the fight but the fight in the knife that matters...besides who cares, be it baseball bat, edc blade or ball point pen, you had better be sure that you are in fear for your life before you deploy it, then, it's better to be judged by 12 than carried by 6.

Feel, plays a huge factor in how a knife comes across to me as a defensive tool. I don't really consider knife fighting to be something most of us will ever engage in, that is two opponents facing off with knives. But, I do like to play with a knife and think about how it feels for defending my person. I think most of us do that and while there's not a high likely hood of using a knife for that, it is a factor for many of us consider when choosing what to carry.

These have a nice feel to them, IMO.

But, I'd more than likely tend to carry this, TG, Pro Lahar, because it carries flatter, it's lighter and very fast to deploy, plus it's grip is very secure and the sharpness is second to none.
