  • Today marks the 24th anniversary of 9/11. I pray that this nation does not forget the loss of lives from this horrible event. Yesterday conservative commentator Charlie Kirk was murdered, and I worry about what is to come. Please love one another and your family in these trying times - Spark

What Makes a Good, Traditional Barlow?

BEF30188-6B8A-47D8-8630-BE142905261D.jpeg This is a Kabar on the left and a Colonial on the right.
Both are fairly old , at least 70’s era.

They both have excellent walk and talk, the Kabar is the better made one but the Colonial is no slouch though.

The thing I love about both these knives are the nice thin clip blades.
Both will slice most material with great ease.

They sharpen up very easily also.
The steel is good and is easily as good or better than what GEC and Case are using today.

Well, I was introduced to a new Knifemaker!! He's Younger than my two older kids, but he went to the same school that they did!! His parents still live 5 blocks from me, but I have never met them!!
He's good at knifemaking:cool:!! Look at this!!;)View attachment 1426604 View attachment 1426605 View attachment 1426606 View attachment 1426609
The handles are legally harvested Sperm Whale Tooth!!
The walk and talk are crisp and smooth! I love this knife!!:)
