What Makes a Good, Traditional Barlow?

My Barlow collection is now two knives strong
Probably paid a bit too much for this one with the condition it’s in but it’s not bad. Mostly full blades, good snap on both. Pivot needs to be tightened a bit and pivots are rusty, but it think I can make a nice user of it.

Does the Pile Side look nearly as nice as the Mark Side , which looks really nice . With the type of blades , it looks like it could be a great User and not just a good collector .

It does, it’s a mirror image of the mark side. It’s been cleaned up, but that makes it that much easier for me to just drop it in my pocket and put it to use. The main blade has been bent and the liners a bit warped but the bone is in good shape. Steel seems quite soft, but I suppose that was the norm for many knives of the time period?

They all have been posted together Jack! I think it was for a Charlie's Birthday thread a year ago..... but just for YOU!! :p:D
