Duncan, I like you have only one cover on my mind "Walnut" The story behind it means the most to me!!! I was blessed to have the good fortune to win Charlies GAW and that's the cover for me

I'm not only a pocket knife addict, I'm a GEC distributor 'cause I love GEC knives!
I don't know how I missed it, but what is the story behind the gunstock?
My father had a couple of walnut gunstock blanks in his closet from the 1950s. My brother gave me one of them, and I of course immediately thought "knife Handles"!
We are just looking at it to see how it finishes up.
I stopped in Buffalo to visit the brother who sent me the gunstock blank, before the Rendezvous, and I swung by again on my way home just to give him a Walnut handled Barlow. He was over the moon! I thought he was gonna cry!!
It's funny; it's only a knife with a wood handle in one sense, but it sure means a lot to both of us.

Oh wow, Paul-- I'd already forgotten about that! Your win means all the more, now seeing how these newest barlows have turned out. Congratulations all over again.

True story: I bought my first-ever GEC knife from Barry, my White Owl in autumn gold-- complete with the knife lanyard he'd made.
Pret-ty cool.

Thanks again SarahI can only imagine how busy Charlie is since his return and I can certainly wait, because a knife like that is well worth the wait

I also imagine Charlie is swamped with emails so I am going to wait for things to settle down before getting back in touch. I can't wait to get my hands on a walnut charlow!

I've been carrying the same knife recently, the jet-black ebony is fantastic! It has sated my want of a barlow with dark black handles, so I don't have to worry about wanting the ironwood on the sheepsfoots. (sheepsfeet? the plural still eludes me.)
I'm sure you'll love it!

Officially orders begin at midnight! You better get your order in, Paul.
I lost count of the email requests!!
The other "usual" dealers should have theirs by the weekend also!
