What Makes a Good, Traditional Barlow?

Aw, you still have about 18 years, 7 months, 4 days and 20 minutes left on that blade! No worries, mate; it still looks great!!:D:D

Thanks for posting them Barry! Now everyone can see what all the fuss is about!!

... Though I haven't stop fussing about this one, and probably won't:

Wow Sarah, I love your photo's - just great, and what makes them better theres always a great knife in them too!
Arent those single bladed Clip-points just fantastic!

That photo was taken outside under bright overcast skies; indoors the African Blackwood looks much darker. They are all nice! :)

Lovely photo's, it was a nice afternoon, I was inspired by the absolutely lovey shots of everyone so I thought I would go out and take some shots for this thread, and a couple more.......

Wow -Barry, like the guys have just said-stunners my friend!
Ok, here is my poor Red Bone Clip point, now re-named "flat belly"after taking out the 3 bad chips out of the blade, so ashamedly I show you my good ol faithful - still love it to bits...

Looking good Duncan. The new profile does look a bit odd though with the relative lack of patina.

Hi Christian, I know...and yet this knife gets carried all the time, my Ebony Spear point banged up Patina in no time, this knife is tending to take its time!

If it makes you feel better Duncan the profile of my clip point Charlow has also been changed. It has a slight recurve now, the result of an incompetent sharpening job.

I have never seen a knife so new, look so old. I say that as a compliment. This pattern wears the years of experience, forced or not, extremely well.

Thanks guys. I do like the way it looks, though I wish I hadn't taken off so much steel.

Met this knife in person - it indeed looks fat and happy - well loved!;)
In fact I saw it joyfully cutting up lunch!!:p

Thanks, Duncan. :)

My single-blade clip point single-handedly (single-bladedly?) crashed my default preference for two-bladed jacks.

Indeed! Its created-by-use patina was further enhanced through sharing a salad with Charlie Campagna right there in the GEC Factory. (Yes, Paul-- Lucky Duck.)

I meant to take more pictures of the walnut sheepsfoot last evening, but when I reached into my pocket for it I found this one again instead. The sneak.
