I love bokers Barlow, I have a russels Barlow as well that's made by Boker, but no pics yet.

They say money can't buy happiness. They obviously have never bought a Charlow--
This thing is amazing. Breathtaking. Epic. Yet so elegantly simple.
A masterpiece. Thank you, Charlie!

May I suggest future runs be sold with knife rolls for long term storage of all the other knives I will be neglecting?

Playing some chess with the classiest knives I own, Hippo Ivory Geppetto Whitt and ,my favorite Charlow Gabon ebony . These Knives just seem to be at home in the game

I received mine today in walnut, and can't find better words than said above. This is my second traditional in as many as two days. What a great start to my collection!

The knife is simply superb. And, I was hesitant about the sheepfoot blade, but after a couple uses this afternoon, I now see how the benefit and am very glad I have it.

Pic heavy is good!!
Those are some mighty fine veterans, Mr. Pukko, and BJE, and JSCHENK, and Armando!!!!

Nice to finally see those Sheepfoot blades showing up, out in the world and in the hands of all you who appreciate knives at their most traditional!!!
Seems to me like it took forever. I was thinking of this knife years ago!!

Thanks for comparing the Antique Yellows, Armando. I could never say which is better - I love 'em both!!

It truly is hard to tell which antique yellow is more attractive. The spear belongs to my 2-yr-old little boy...I hope he goes as crazy as we do when he finally gets his knife.

Now that's quite the collection!!! makes my lonely TC spear point just a little homesick ;)

I apologize if this question has already been answered in this thread, but as I am sitting here admiring my sheepfoot Charlow with my morning coffee, I was wondering. Jack Black and Jackknife both have threads about sheepfoot/lambsfoot blades and their place in their respective cultures/geographies. Since the Barlow knife has its origins in Sheffield, would the first Barlows have been sheepfoot blades? Would there have been more examples of said blades in Barlows in their older English examples than over here in the states?

I just received this one in the mail yesterday. This thing is pretty magnificent.

Mr. Campagna, I am glad I removed the packing paper from your box, because out popped a top popper bottle opener! Thanks!

I haven't had a chance to gawk over this sheepfoot barlow, but I like it.

No sooner than I post that Case One Arm....these show up! Thanks so much Charlie! Great knives! That Soupy is magic!

Interesting question. Don't know if it's been answered elsewhere, and perhaps with a better answer, but here's a stab ;) The Sheffield firm of Samuel Barlow made long-bolstered knives with a variety of blade shapes, but these certainly included sheepsfoot blades.

Very interesting, Jack. I had never seen those before. I can certainly see elements that would evolve into the Barlow as we know it today. But at the same time, quite different.

The long Barlow bolster quickly became fashionable and was taken up by other firms. Here's another couple of oldies :)

I just opened a box from Barlie Charlow!
Haven't even seen a knife yet and I'm grinning BIG and laughing!!!
Love You Mucho, Sweet Friend!!!
You Rocked My World!!!

Okay, I figured I would come to the Barlow experts :). Does anyone know if it is possible to find one of these models for sale anymore?
Great Eastern TC Barlow Huckleberry Boys Knife Saddle Brown Sawcut Bone 151113STL Or at least the TC Barlow in the clip point version? I really have a hankering for one as my first delve into slipjoints.

I got my walnut charlows in the other day and they are incredible. Thanks again Charlie! The walnut covers on my 2 blade have a very nice ripple pattern or burl that adds great character. I'll be sure to post photos Sunday night.
