What Makes a Good, Traditional Barlow?

I have a Northfield Yankee Barlow coming in the mail today. I reckon I am in Barlow mode. While I am normally not very superstitious, recent occurrences have tended to make me that way.
Since today is Friday the 13th, I figure I might ought to be pretty careful. I might get run over by a truck ! 😲 🚛🚛🚛🤣

If this becomes my last post, you'll know I did !
