What Makes a Good, Traditional Barlow?

No offense taken. Not certain of the date of manufacture.

I bought this one from a AAPK seller whom I have come to trust. This is how he described it ~

"This is a Russell Green River Works Barlow made by Boker under contract in Solingen Germany. The handles are some very pretty smooth brown bone that are chip and crack free. The blades have not been used or resharpened and retain their factory edges. Measures 3 1/8" closed OAL. Good snap and no wobble or play."

No reason to even suspect that he misrepresented it.
Thanks for the info. I guess they are long gone now. Missed another knife that I would have love to have.
Thanks again.

Check in often and keep an eye out on the BARLOW pattern. Their search works well and organizes knives by patterns as well as my manufacturers. AAPK sellers seems very reputable, at least in regards to my dealings. Ask questions of the sellers. The photos and descriptions are rarely as thorough as I would like, so I ask.

Apparently I was not the only one in line for that one. I just jumped sooner. 👍
