What Makes a Good, Traditional Barlow?

Had my Hartshead Barlow in my pocket all week

Added another John Primble Belknap Hardware Blue Grass Barlow to the pile, this one is from a different maker, both are catalog number 5721, one is brass liners, one steel, while both are spears the grinds are different. The one with the center pin close to center is Ulster made for sure, not positive on the other, maybe Camillus.

That's a fascinating knife Harvey 😎 How do you find the fit and finish, it certainly looks attractive 🙂 I wonder if they'll ever produce a regular Lambsfoot Barlow 👍

Thank you Jack. The F&F is excellent, which for the price, it should be. The combination of mammoth ivory, Lambfoot blade, saw, and Barlow pattern, shut the voice inside my head that was saying: “Don’t do it.”🫠 Only the one Napaoch Dealer, sells them.

I recall seeing they were rather spendy my friend! 😱 Definitely a special knife 😎👍
