Got some sheep (with a sailor)
Some birthday boys, a little stinker, big bro with little bro, some guys ready for a new day, and a tribute to a good dad. Ohh and the grand pa thrown in there.

These barlow are awesome l!!! I’ve converted a lot of modern knife lovers with these. Then I realized how hard they are to find so I said they should go back to big “hard use” moderns 😁. They haven’t listened hahaha. Still lookin for a good ebony ancient and a soup bone new day. Third cut is a grail!!

An interesting group of Barlows. The more I see stuff like this, the more incestuous I believe the cutlery industry to have been about a century ago!!
Made/contracted by Ulster, here are two Ulsters, a Robeson and a Case!! All seem to have come off the same bench!!Ulster Robeson Case 1.jpg
Another picture of Ulster - made Barlows!! Some repeats from above!!

I know everyone swoons over stag and there is no doubt sawcut bone is the bell of the ball, but beautiful ebony wood just makes me happy. What’s y’all’s favorite woods on barlows.

For me and IMHO... not just on Barlows, pretty much any knife. First is Desert Ironwood. Second is a natural Maple Burl (dyed is good too if done well). Third would be a good Ebony, especially if it has some light coloration in the wood.
