What Makes a Good, Traditional Barlow?

I don't seem to have one of my Winchester by itself, seems I always pair it with this one lol.
David that's a fine one to pair it with!
A bolster you don't come across all that often, A. Baldwin & Co,Inc, New Orleans, Goins has 1874 to 1939, they were a hardware sporting goods store. Definitely made by Schrade Cut Co, they match up exactly even the fonts on the bolster stamp.

John's knife is a beauty!! I have two old Robeson Barlows with French Ivory. I'll try and find pics!!
