The Barlow is my favorite pattern, and I've been hunting for at least 8 years for one that matches my preferences (GEC, bolster stamp, no shield, single blade, stainless, wood covers).

Not only does this #86 Two Acorn Barlow tick every box on that list, it's a true treasure: a gift from my friend Paul ( Jakeywax31 ), who sent it to Glenn ( glennbad ) for a re-cover, making it just steeped in everything that makes BF such a special place. I couldn't have asked for a better end to this hunt, and it's going to make a great pocket companion.

Thanks Rich. The Buck barlows were made by Camillus and sent to Buck who then sent them to Smoky Mountain Knife Works. So I guess you could say they were sort of a SFO of SMKW.

Thank you Charlie. The blade does look like a Zulu now that you mention it. The stag was repurposed from an old Wostenholm IXL carving knife.
