What Makes a Good, Traditional Barlow?

I sharpened this beauty with my beginner sharpening skills ten years ago (which I regret of course). The blade width became smaller, but with a good edge it cuts well now. Maybe it adds some ancientness to the sanded handle scales...
Ps: given the choice, I would have let it untouched in the box in 2015, but I also love it as it is right now.

You only live once, carry and use the best!!

A Tidioute, a Northfield, and a GEC walking into a bar. The bartender says......

The TC and the GEC are both new to me. This is actually my very first TC Barlow. It had kind of been a running joke for me that I didn't own a TC Barlow, for so many years. I'd come close about a 1,000 times, but something happened every time that killed the deal. Now I finally have one in my hands.
