What Makes a Good, Traditional Barlow?

@5J Qs -- I used Charlie's vinegar treatment, but with soaked paper towels wrapped around the blades instead of submerged. Then I hit it lightly with a scotch brite pad. Then I cut up an apple. Voila!

Love thos Queen DB's Augie!!
John that Mammoth TC is looking just fantastic my friend - just WOW!!!

I want to take this moment to thank Mr. Paul Hilborn for this WONDERFUL gift -ONCE AGAIN Paul has shown his amazing Generosity and gifted me his very own user - this beautiful Northfield - Paul hit a Staple near the kick - so he masterfully took out the nick in the blade - and re-sharpened the knife extremely skillfully - Paul you did such a beautiful job, I have enjoyed carrying this beaut for the last two days -thank you my good friend!
Wow....

I will cherish this knife- as I do to all the other knives you and others have gifted me my friend...
