What Makes a Good, Traditional Barlow?

Been another good week for Barlows,

First a 10 dollar Russell, not much to look at, heavily worn but it is an original Russell,

Then a 1992 Shatt&Morgan, really like this knife,

Next up an old Remington spear blade, not sure whats going on with the mark side handle, looks to have been burned, knife very solid, sharp and usable,

And finally a New York Knife Co Hammer Brand, it has had some abuse over the years but there again, blades are tight and sharp, hard to find Barlow so I had to take what I could get,
