Augie, Phil, dbla wonderful Barlows!!!

I've had this same Schrade before but sometimes when I see one I just have to pick it up. All I've done is add an edge and tightened a fairly loose main blade. I was just swayed by the covers and the fact that I feel is a WONDERFUL Barlow like this needs to be back in action:thumbup:

Wow- Im not too sure how Paul does it - he must be Augie's hunting mate when it comes to knives I think!

Thats a beaut Paul matey. Loving that Bone mate - just a Golden Glow! Honey Bone....yeah that's it......

I have one the same- The Bone is lighter- Bought and was disappointed to find it had sideways movement in the Main Blade, I did exactly the same- but the Walk and Talk just feel rough - like a very fine ratchet mechanism - I know just how careful to be when clinching the Bolsters - peened the pin extremely carefully -hey it is way way better, and the first time I have had this result, I am thinking it was there before possibly but because of the loose movement didnt pick it up so much.

So very true, Paul! Great looking Schrade.

I love this thread... I always feel a bit like a student getting to sit in on a conversation between experts :D Learn more and more each time. I am looking forward to watching the video of Charlie, I really enjoy all of Rob's productions. And I have to say Duncan... we have never met but you strike me as one of the most genuine, loyal, and kind guys around. Your posts are always so obviously heartfelt

I knew exactly which version of Charlie's latest run that I wanted and painfully waited while many others came across the Exchange (especially the Yellow Hearts!) But in the end it was worth it! Thank you for the trade BladeBrain

Thank you Duncan, I wasn't looking for a Schrade vintage Barlow but it was just there at the right price and I felt obligated to get it back into circulation:thumbup:
