What Makes a Good, Traditional Barlow?

Charlie, that's a cool one, and different than the others of a similar ilk that I've seen. The ones I'm familiar with have a similar curved blade with fork tines, but they're automatics with a push-button.

Simple answer-- NO. It would be much slimmer in the pocket, or in the hand if using the pen blade.

That Redbone looks awful nice in that setting, Barry!!

Thanks for producing that beautiful knife, Charlie! I can't wait to see the sheepsfoot run...

Being relatively new to this game could someone show a photo of what the sheepsfoot blade would look like. What I have found on the internet looks almost like a pruning blade.

I can't believe it, but I Just lost my 2 blade clip at work today. :(
I think its in the wet grass around the grape vines somewhere, but I'm hoping we'll find it as my workmate Barry has a few metal detectors and has found a bit of gold in his time.
Hopefully if I find it, it hasn't rusted too much.

I feel naked without it, even with my other knifes with me...

Ack! Just make sure you get out there and look again, before anybody mows the grass...!

I'm very excited for this sheepsfoot barlow. Couldn't swing the forum knife this year, due to monetary restrictions, so when this one comes in at 2/3 the price I'll be a happy camper! :D

Havn't seen ths thread until now.

I received a barlow of my own a while back, a Camillus TL-29, courtesy of paulhilborn. He gave me a great deal, and the knife is in great condition, considering how old it is. (Thanks!!!! :))

Anyway, I love it. It's my favorite knife.

I finally see as waynorth does!

The old Camillus TL-29's sure are nice! ...but they're not barlows...

That redbone is gorgeous! I regret not picking any up.

I am really looking forward to the sheepsfoot TC barlow. :)
