What MANLY thing did your (traditional) knife do today?

I sliced plastic wrap off of copier machines all day. Used my 3 1/4" RR San Mai.

I used my SAK Spartan to cut open the bag that the rice was cooking in for dinner and later on in the evening I used it to separate the Ny-Quil and Day-Quil bottles that come in a package.

Mine opened two boxes of two other Schrade Uncle Henry knives that just showed up. Also trimmed off the end of a q-tip so I could clean-up the two new knives.

I opened my GEC executive whittler and encouraged one of my employees to throw himself upon it to atone for failing the team. He just looked at me with a blank stare. I let the moment pass and went back into my office.

This morning at work: Cut cable ties, stripped a bunch of wires, pried open some packaging... you know... the usual.
Last night at the warehouse: Stripped more wires, cut electrical tape, made holes in some sheetrock, cleared a couple jams in my .22 (had to take a break from shop renovation, what better to do? :D ).

This morning I thinly sliced a tomato with my Mooremaker 5301 stockman with the 1095 turkish clip master blade for my son's grilled cheese and tomato sandwich.

My daughter had to up some medication she is taking to add a half a pill more in dosage so I was using my KH trapper to split some pills for her. I then used the same knife to slice up a loaf of homemade bread to make a sandwich for lunch.

Scraped some ice off the contact on the snowblower. Later I freehand sharpened my swayback jack. Freehand, that's manly.:D

I cleaned and oiled my slippies while watching John Wayne and Ann Margaret in "The Train Robbers." I even managed NOT to cut myself while watching Ann Margaret in the early part of the movie while still looking on with sincere appreciation. Or perhaps, in keeping with the original question, I should say my slippies did not cut me even though I'd been a bit neglectful of them and was watching Ann Margaret while finally attending to them. That was quite mature and manly of them I'd say.

Oh, and my usual delrin Queen cut the top section off some Styrofoam trays for my parents and self while having falafel plates at a little international market.

Forget to mention that one of my Moras is getting ready to gut a red pomello.

The Northfield Harness Jack opened a package or venison pepperoni sticks, made quick work of apple, cut a couple of zip ties the wife used to hang some outdoor Christmas decorations, and cut the paper on a Copenhagen can.

My daughter drives a '91 Saturn. About a year ago, someone backed into the rear corner, breaking the polymer quarter panel and dislodging the tail light. The car is not worth the money required to fix it right. So the tail light has been held in place by Gorilla tape for the last year. Last night she came by for a visit and I cut away the old tape, which was beginning to fail. I then put down a fresh layer and she should be good to go for another year.

That would be with my GE Dogleg Jack. Worked like a champ cutting through that very tough stuff.

I used my Menefee Lanny's Clip to scrape some tarter off my tooth - nice and sharp so it comes right off. Ahhh, much better!

Used a Sheepfoot blade on a Stockman to trim away some slimy area on a shower curtain:D Should buy a new one but why? It's as good as new now and that means more money for bone and steel:D

My Uncle Henry stockman cut through tons of large cardboard boxes since we are doing the fun job of cleaning the garage today. Touched up the sheepsfoot blade and it shaves hair once again. So sharp that when I was wiping it off my thumb suffered a nice clean little slice that bled for about 20mins.

Using my Queen City Trapper to cut some summer sausage to eat with cheese and crackers while listening to some Flatt and Scruggs. Nice evening!

opened a bag os sweets I got with the queen canoe this morning
sliced and cut the chicken I had for dinner at a restaurant with the small trapper CV, worked amazingly with the new convex edge I put on it
