Generally yes, a concave or hollow grind has negative curvature and a convex positive and a flat has none so it falls geometrically right inbetween them. Performance wise is therefore tends to do so as well. Of course a lot depends on how the grind is applied so you have to look at the cross section of the blade and not just the type of grind. An opinel for example and splitting axe both have convex grinds but they have little in common performance wise because the cross sections are so different.
