what multi-tool do you guys carry. thinking about picking one up. just want to know what you guys have.

I keep a leatherman wave in my EDC bag, and use my GERBER multi tool on a regular basis, I've had it since I was a kid, back before gerber went dow the drains

I carry a Gerber blunt nose multi tool. Have carried it for years for work and pretty much for everything else camping, survival, etc. This question will bring a huge response with probably every tool made. It's all about personal preference.

I have been carrying a Victorinox Swisstool on my belt, but its a big honker and is heavy.

But it depends on what you are after. You could carry something as small as a Leatherman PS4 on your keyring, or a mid-size tool on your belt like the Leatherman Juice series or Victorinox Swisstool Spirit, or one of the big boys like a SOG, Swisstool, ST 300 or Surge.

Its a balancing act between ease of carry vs. utility. A desk jockey might want the PS4, whereas someone who slings a hammer and throws up drywall might want a big momma.

Supertool 300: big momma.

if you must have pliers, the leatherman super tool. otherwise, I get by quite well with a SAK fieldmaster.

If you want small.... Leatherman Juice

If you want strength..... SOG Powerlock or Powerassist

I carry a supertool 300 with me to work . I hate the fact that you can't get to blades or tools unless u open wnole thing.I had to get this variety though cause I needed the larger pliers for broken pvc valves on sprinkler lines at plant nursery. I do suggest getting it in black because even though its stainless steel I've had rust issues where steel is exposed,I do work with well water though

I carry a SOG Powerlock but want to get a Supertool 300 and Skeletool. I think the Skeletool is a good minimalist multitool. while the ST is just tough as nails.

I've been carrying a WAVE for over ten years. I was recently gifted a SOG powerlock and it's pretty sweet. Love the geared opening and closing.

I've been switching back and forth between the WAVE, Powerlock and a Gerber 600.

Still looking forward to the Multitasker EDC tool but Shane is dragging his feet........ :D

I like Leathermans and I have a bunch of different models. They have become my favorite multitool. The ones I use the most however are the PS4 and the Skeletool CX. The only reason I use those the most over say my Wave is that they are so light and handy; I always have one of them on me.

I've been EDCing a Leatherman Charge TTi to work for a couple of years now. It's taken some abuse and hasn't let me down yet. In my job the one hand opening blades are a huge plus.

I've also got a SwissTool Spirit X that I carry on my days off if I think I'll need a MT. Very well built and beefy tools.

I've been wanting to try one of the SOG powerlock models but I hear with their plier enhancing technology you cant tuck the pliers into one of the handles and fold the other one out to make an extension for another tool (like a screw driver), if that makes any sense...

Edit to say that I also own a pretty good number of SAKs and if you won't be needing pliers I say they are definitely the way to go!

Charge TTi clipped to my left front pocket, or in my bag.

Vic Midnight Manager in my wallet.

Slim Alox SAK and a Raker Ring Tool in back pocket.

The Charge is a little big and heavy, and I don't use all of the tools all of the time, but I'm yet to find a better choice.
