What pen or pens do you carry?

I carry a pen case with about 10 pens inside.

I rotate between a Mont Blanc 149, Mont Blanc 164P, Mont Blanc 146, Visconti Wall Street LE, Danitrio Densho and a 1946 Parker 51 double jewel.

My latest addition is a Hinderer extreme duty.

Retro 51 Tornado - in a checkered flag pattern.

Hot tip HWF... where the F-701 has a plastic retaining piece at the pusher end, the Zebra F-402 has a stainless one. If you're willing to pony up the $5 extra, you can swap the stainless piece on your F-701 and have an all stainless pen. I do the exact same thing with the Fisher cartridge and it's been my favorite pen for a long time.

Cheers!

Normally I carry a Zebra F-701 with Fisher refill.

Lately, it's been a basic Zebra F401, but when I don't have to work, I switch between a Lamy Safari and a Kaweco Sport. Looking for a better threaded cap fountain pen that has a decent nib and won't run me over $50. Suggestions?

Zebra Expandz here...sweet easy EDC for pocket carry, push/pull to open and when closed is 1" shorter than when open...works great for general carry. good build quality too and writes very smoothly and finely.

Pilot G2 Bold Point Blue Gel Ink Pen. Best cheap throwaway pen I've tried. I'd use fine point if I were a bookkeeper.

Fisher Bullet Spacepen. Silver / Chrome / whatevs with machining for grip (something the matte black lacks). I have lost entirely too many from falling out of my pockets over the years.

Lamy 4Pen Palladium - Ballpoint,Marker,Pencil and touchscreen thingy all in one
Parker IM Gunmetal - heavy is reliable ;)

I am fighting with myself wether to get that bolt-action tactical pen from Böker or not
I don't need another 50€ pen, but the mechanism is pretty cool, so is the clip

Nice!! That is a hot one indeed! Thank you, sir. :)

First of all, sorry for the terrible indoors / flash light mixture, but I have an excuse: it is night over here!

I am always carrying a Rotring Trio Pen, the light, round-barelled version from the 80s/90s since more than 10 years. Sometimes I carry an interesting Lamy pen from the mid 80s with a „telescoping“ retract-mechanism, it is called „Lamy unic“ and is quite rare nowadays.

Both very nice solid Pens, but the Rotring is simply the best pen I have ever used - wonderfully balanced, knurled grip area, fantastic quality.
In fact, I like it so much, that I acquired some as „replacement“ over the time.. :) ..

I have also ordered a Hinderer Investigator Pen in Brass, I can't wait to use it and to see a patina developing on it!

Best regards,

I use a Surefire Writing Pen II. I remember how robust it first felt when I began to use it. This pen is a tank and has a nice heft to it. It has been dropped it a handful of times in my office, and a couple of times outside on pavement while getting into my car, and has held up extremely well. Only damage so far is a tiny chip to the clicky. I prefer to use the Parker Gel medium cartridges, only they don't last very long with the amount of writing I do. easyFLOW cartridges are what are currently in use and I find them to be smoother writing than the Space Pen cartridge.

Three pens at work...some Space Pen, with brown/bronze coating. Cap posts on the back. Nice feel to it, and it has a rubber grip. A metal Parker Jotter; I dig the crisp "click". It's a little slick for continuous writing, though. And I keep a Zebra 701 clipped to my shirt, by my badge, as a backup. I really dig the 301's, but they seem to break easily.

pardon the blurry pic. A nice gentleman I work with gave this to me before he retired; he made it. It is ambonya burl with a ebony and corian spacer.
