What pen or pens do you carry?

Just added a Zebra to my EDC gear, along with the small fixed blade.

I am happy with the F701 as is, and it was only $8 up here. Hell of a pen for that kind of money!

Thanks to Goebruin for the recommendation in another thread.

Lately, it's been a basic Zebra F401, but when I don't have to work, I switch between a Lamy Safari and a Kaweco Sport. Looking for a better threaded cap fountain pen that has a decent nib and won't run me over $50. Suggestions?

Pilot 78G is pretty great and can be had for less than $20. TWSBIs are also great, but they will be at the higher end of your limit, if not a bit more.

Fountain pen is often a Kaweco Sport (loaded with Noodler's Bulletproof Black)

Ballpoint, right now, is a Pilot Dr. Grip Full-Black .7

Uniball Signo DX or Pilot Hi-Tec-C for gel pen

Pencil will either be a Pentel Sharp Kerry or a Pentel Graphgear 1000 .5

I'm left handed and I've settled on the Pentel Energel Liquid Gel Ink retractable ball (.7mm).
It's been my go to pen for the past two years, I buy them by the box.
If you have a chance check one out, they really are incredible for the price.

I also carry a SS Sharpie, for writing on cardboard and SD.

+1 The pilot 78g is an awesome pen for less than 50 bucks. Its usually priced around 20 bucks most places but can go as low as 10 bucks . I use mine as desk pens and they work great plus you can convert them to an eyedropper pen which gives you a ridiculous amount of ink capacity. Try em out they are what got me into fountain pens in the first place :)

I just did the Fisher Space Pen refill mod to my Zebra F-701 and seems to work great.

For less than $20 it's a rock solid EDC, and writes like a dream.

I'm happy. ;)

Thanks AlexWitte, it's just a generic Moleskine. I've heard that Quo Vadis notebooks are really good but I haven't been able find any in a store in my vicinity, will probably have to buy on-line. My form of writing is probably derived mostly from growing up drawing, occasionally I'll change something around, but it continues to develop.

Anyways, I find the pens very comfortable to write with, the thin .28 and .38 allow me to write a bit smaller to get more on the page. I got them from Jetpens, it's a great site that has a pretty good selection.

Ah yes, I've lost a fair amount of money to JetPens. It's great to see all of the offerings that are not available in the big box stores. As for paper, you can get some good stuff in the bargain/clearance section of Barnes and Noble. The Picadilly stuff is always on clearance (odd), but the paper is pretty solid.

I use a Quo Vadis Habana, too, and they are top notch - it doesn't get much better than that.

Lately it's been a Cross Century II BP in sterling.

Titanium Hinderer Extreme Duty Pen. Love the pen as it is just about perfect in my estimation!!!

First is my maxmadco in my shirt pocket, second there is bullet space pen in th ebottom of my pants pocket. Now OP,where did you get that multipen from? it looks cool

Stationery Art, its an online pen shop similar to JetPens. I've tried looking for it locally but didn't have much luck finding it.

Not to get off-topic, but what knife is this? It's my kind of style. Back to topic: I tend to use a g2 in green, though something tells me I might be using a hinderer investigator in copper after my up-coming cake day :)

Custom made by RWN2000 , a member here. It was originally a necker, but I added a belt loop, and cold blued the blade.

Price was more than reasonable, and I am really liking it so far.

Looks really comfortable, and a most pratical blade shape. I'm going to save the name of that maker for when my better half ok's a new sharp object.
