I like the Tinker best. It gives a couple tools besides the two blades but is still thin and weightless in the pocket.

I don't cut "tons of rope and boxes" but the reamer gets used as a fingernail cleaner. The toothpick comes handy too. Tractor Supply sells pop bottles at the counter that need an opener so that occasionally gets used too. The little blade gets used for opening packages. The large is reserved for food.

I'm a huge fan of the tinker too. It has just enough to be useful, but not too much that it's still a nice slim package.

Found this 4 1/4"/ 108mm SAK in the SW town of Dolores,CO during a recent trip to Northern AZ...
I believe it is a Safari Hunter...has the combo bottle opener, saw and a corkscrew, perfect for the trip!
It has a curved blade that is called the guting blade but nice to use on a ripe mellon.
from the sakwiki these were discontinued in 2003.

Today I'm toting my new Pioneer. I had ordered a black Alox with a black shield, and when it arrived yesterday it turned out to be a black Alox with a red shield. Fantastic surprise, and perfect toolset too. I have a Farmer but it's a bit clunky for EDC. This new Pioneer is ideal!
