Good choice Robert!!! File and tweezers... handy to have occasionally when away from home and of course the remaining tools are probably the most commonly used. Evogrip 11... the perfect woods walking gentleman's companion. :)

Need something small for the tourist trek to NYC, so looks like it's going to be the SD Classic. Think I'll lose it at tourist attractions?

It's cool that you have such a wide variety available to choose from Robert. I've been looking at the Evogrip 14,16 and 18 for awhile trying to determine if I would like them, maybe you can help. I thought suspended from a pocket hanger might be the ticket for pocket carry considering their width. How do you carry the 3 & 4 layer Evogrips? Anything that you might like to share about these multi-tools I'd appreciate reading. -James

A lot of folks like to use a P7 pocket clip and suspend the knife vertically so it doesn't go crossways at the bottom of the pocket...you can comfortably carry 4-5 layer models that way.

My Trail Guide with a couple of options:

I wear overalls a lot out here at the farm so most of mine go into my bib pocket but in the summer, it's a lot of gym shorts +t-shirts and 85's (and 91's) in the 2-4 layer range usually get a neckcord. It's a handy way to carry them and will go with anything I wear. The cord has a P7 clip so it easily clips to the keyring and will carry many different SAKs.

The Sportsman and EVO 10/11 and 16 are my favorites for this kind of carry.

The ALOX models have their own dedicated neckers.

Hope this helps...

Thanks Robert, for your quick response. Your first pic shows a SAK with fob and P7, that is something for me to try. I have a P7 type hook but it gets hung up on jeans. Never thought of a fob in conjunction with the clip but that would give the grip needed for easy removal. If it works well I could then try some 3-4 layer SAKs. Not sure I would be comfortable with a necker especially with any weight to it. Might try out a necker with some of the small ones first to see if I can adjust. Thanks for sharing you've given me a couple of good ideas to try.
