To echoI keep eyeballing a Compact and think about picking one up to try out.
Great pick!My boy picked out the Rambler for me to carry today
I hear that a lot, but in my opinion it is not true. In fact, I think Victorinox puts the keyring on that side on purpose. Unlike larger SAK's, I think Victorinox knows that these 58mm, 65mm en 74mm are carried on keyrings mostly. For this reason the knife blade would likely get damaged if it was on the other side and the knife was closed without paying attention. Keys would get in between. This is (far) less likely to happen with the ring on the side that Victorinox put it. Also, if it were on the other side, a bunch of keys would basically become some sort of annoying tail when cutting. On the side that Victorinox actually put them, the keys will we above the spine when cutting and act as some sort of extra grip. In conclusion, I really believe Victorinox thought about all of this stuff when they decided to put the keyring where it is. It is on the right sideExecutive 81. My first SAK.
They put the ring on the wrong side. Bad start![]()
My First sak I ever bought. This beast is 30+ years old.
Gave it a clean & polish this morning, even the scales buffed okay, after all it's been through![]()

Many bad things can happen when not paying attention so I respectfully disagree.I hear that a lot, but in my opinion it is not true.
