What SAK are ya totin' today?

I'm currently fiddling around with the Delemont Junior 09. I got it a while ago and I'm surprised at how much I like it. I really didn't think I would like it this much.

Small details:

The saw blade is the same length as the one on the Walker, but the Junior's has a slightly longer row of teeth. When you put them side by side you can see it clearly. The tip of the Walker's saw has a longer flat section which eats into the space available to the saw teeth. This makes the Junior 09's saw slightly better even though they're both the same size.

The scales don't have a pin slot, but you can tuck a straight pin under/behind the phillips driver and it won't fall out once it's closed.

The file + nail cleaner is the same size as the one on the Sportsman. I can't really compare the textures though, because my Sportsman has the newer style file. I'm really tempted to try and put a sharp edge on this tool to make it into a true inline awl.

Some people said that the factory edge of the knife is dull. Mine came sharp enough to slice paper pretty effortlessly.

Having a locking blade on a SAK this small feels really great and reassuring. I also really like the fact that it has a half-stop as a little extra safety measure.

It feels really good in the hand. I like the unusual scale shape even though it adds extra bulk.

This little SAK makes me smile. :)

Thanks. I don't know if Bob is still making custom alox but if he is, I recommend his service if you are interested.
