Wenger Skier, bought in Basel, Switzerland in 95 and I’ve never seen another like it. The red plastic blade is for scraping wax of your skis. I’ve never used it for that though. I bought this one because it was the only one (in the small display case I was looking at ) with both a corkscrew and Phillips screwdriver.

Those aren't dings or scratches. Those are "event indicators".

And other than a few event indicators on the scales, and a very slight showing of aluminum oxidation on the liners, one might believe this was a brand new knife when I got it. The Walnut scales of this 2011-present Huntsman were so dull and drab though, that I felt a bit of conditioning was in order. A few applications of Mineral Oil seem to have really livened the look of the Walnut. Body oils from my hands should only enhance the beauty of the woodgrain as I continue to handle and use this knife. It's in my pocket today, and will surely be there for some days to come.

The color tones of the scales vary from side to side. I know some seem to be put off by such. Not me. To me, it adds to the personification of the knife, much as chatoyancy of the wood adds to its beauty.

I don't know the history of this tool, but as time goes on, I'll likely conjur up some stories fitting to each indicator.
Be safe! Enjoy life!
