What SAK are ya totin' today?

Sorry did not order it. I got burned once and really think this has got to be a scam. Would love that knife though.

How do you like it? I need to find a 2024 (brown scales) as that the year i was blessed with my first and only grandson. Would be so cool to give him it on his birthday when he is old enough to be responsible with a knife of course. I’ll eventually let him see mine and in use then teach him then when it’s time boom! That’s a plan anyway.

Update: i found a 2024 but it’s with a company i have never heard of in Finland. Basically $100 plus $32 shipping and whatever the tariff or import fees and taxes are. As much as i would like it i like to know the total and don’t like the mystery aspect of this purchase so i passed.

Thank you, David. 👍
I love this series, I've had all the Pioneer comics since 2015. ;)
You can find several 2024 on eBay.

sonofwilfred: I do not have any neat whistles like you do. My only whistle is a U.S issed plastic one (OD green) marked "U.S. R.M. 1996". However, I just received an Australian made barbed wire cutter dated 1942 with "D Broad Arrow D" markings. I think the maker is "Sumshime"? I took a photo of the name and it is in incursive and that is what I think it says. John
PS Same year I was born.
PSS Further research and I found the maker's name is actually "Sunshine". John

D^D Department of Defence Australia, all those old things are becoming very collectable. Sunshine is a great Australian harvester manufacturer. During the war they were commandeered by the government to make tools. Im guessing they are folding cutters? Fun fact, its technically illegal to own D^D items without a lot of paperwork. An item is legal to own if there are 2 arrows pointing to each other that means its decommissioned and sold out of service. Non of this is policed but its good to know.

J John A. Larsen you triggered a memory that i had an old hammer with a broad arrow stamp. Also note the whistle, that needs repairs, is stamped 1942 👌🏻🦘🇦🇺

Great photo! I have several military items dated 1942, like a US canvas map case, but sadly no whistle! The Barbed wire cutters are not marked with the double arrows noting sold out of service. The place I got them from Numich Arms, must have got a ton of them as they have been selling them for a long time. Yes, the handles fold, and they have the original lanyard. I had to get some 3 in 1 Penetrating oil and soak them to get to were I could open them. Probably opened for the first time since 1942! I also have a bunch of Finnish Gear, one is a electrician wire cutter/pliers with the SA in a box stamp, but not dated. John
