That's what it seemed like. I thought as much because the color aloxes seem to be harder to find lately. Was wondering if another retailer might have gotten a special batch like cutlery shoppe.

The plain shield black Pioneer is a factory release and is available to SAK dealers but I would snag one soon because like all things ALOX, it may not be in the next the Vic catalog. I think I have that same 27 dollar one on my watch list.

Yep picked up 2 of those black pioneers, $27 shipped, gifted one for Xmas kept the other as a reserve for myself. Like sak guy said with colored alox it's a game of "here today gone to Maui".

I was at our local hardware store to get some screws, a new drill and some other items I needed. I stopped by at the Victorinox display and a 111mm SAK cought my eye.
The Locksmith followed me home ...
... and a standart leather pouch for belt carry as well.
I think it is a nice knife and setup. A Trailmaster with an added file...

Really? The Locksmith seems to be common here in Europe. I´ve almost seen it often at some hardware store / gunshops.
