What SAK/Multitool do you have on the way?

Now the hard part. User for me, or do I tuck it way for a few years and gift it to my son whose favorite color is green.

Congrats, Captain; what a beauty!:thumbup: You've found a way to deal with South Africa, too, it seems. :D:eek::D
One other option to consider: use it for a few years and gift it to your son whose favorite color is green. Seems like a much more personalized gift that way. ;);)

Users (for me) require a backup copy so I'm stashing mine till then...my other colored Farmers are for my grandkids.

I've got plenty for EDC anyway and with my RA, I could easily drop it on the concrete and ruin it's good looks so I prefer carrying more "lived with" knives.

I understand SAK guy but to play devil's advocate a knifes "life" has to start somewhere. But I probably will put it away for the boy as I have other various farmers including my favorite black Italian farmer plus I tend to gravitate towards the pioneers more.

My $5.60 Vic Scientist :D

Excellent bargain, SAK Guy!!:thumbup: To become a scientist for under 6 bucks is nothing to sneeze at! :D:D
There are so many SAK variations that I can't seem to keep track of. :( I once made a "family tree" for SAKs, but it only included "direct descendants" of the Recruit (next generation: small Tinker and Tourist, if I'm remembering correctly; then branched out to Tinker and Spartan and all of their descendants). So I'm not familiar with stuff like Compact, Scientist, Explorer, etc.
But I envy you, you scientist! I've always wanted an in-line Phillips, and a magnifier would be cool, and I really like the pen in my celidor Minichamp! :p
And I've certainly wanted a $5.60 SAK of any flavor, even with a corkscrew that I usually look down my nose at!!:D:eek:

Thanks buddy! The Scientist was one of my grail knives and since it's lightly used, it will make it into my pocket on occasion...for more light use. :D

I had to place an order for a few other things I needed right away so I through in a vic rambler I had been looking at as well. I have a few classics, but I have always eyed the rambler.

I can't get on the forum for a little while and I come back to some great acquisitions.

Congrats on the the grail Andi!

Capt. I'm partial to the green alox. Such a beauty!

SAK Guy that scientist was a steal! I have wanted to find one for my wife for a while. She is in the science field. Micro biologist. Seems fitting.

Ok now I'm going to go ogle some old crosses and try to wear down my wife into another knife purchase.

You guys are bad for my budget.

Gabe

I have a green Pruner on the way and am debating on getting a copper Alox Bush crafter or go big with a green Sea Rancher.

Congrats and don't tarry on that Swiss Bianco stuff...it tends to disappear fast!

Excellent, SAK Guy!! :thumbup::thumbup:
Does the blade etch mean anything significant, or simply the name of a previous owner?

Probably a guy with thieving relatives...it's his name written in the possessive form! ;)

Already have a silver pruner on the way. Browsing online at lunch today, broke down and ordered two more. Orange alox classic and black alox pioneer/red shield on the way. Post office and I are getting on a first-name basis:)
