What SAK/Multitool do you have on the way?

I just received my Pioneer yesterday!
I now will carry the Pioneer in watch pocket of my britches, Cadet in my ruck, alox Classic on keys, and alox Secretary in valet at home.

I have a serrated spartan on the way, looking forward to checking out that blade

Got a Leatherman Super Tool 300 just right now for a few bucks on evilbay... ;)

I bet you'll love that Pioneer!:thumbup: I carry one every day, usually the Electrician version, and I have a Classic in my pocket at all times; some day I'd like to upgrade my Classic to alox, and I think I'm going to invest in a red Cadet sometime this month. Exciting times, eh? :D

Congrats!:thumbup: I'd appreciate a review once you've tried out your serrated Spartan. I'd like to get a pocket knife with serrated blade sometime, and I'm not aware of many options. The Spartan is certainly one I'd consider, so I'm interested in hearing how you like yours. ;)

Excellent, Andi!!:thumbup: I carry an "original" Leatherman in my backpack at all times. I haven't kept up with Leatherman evolution, but I think the Super Tool 300 is a 3rd or 4th generation descendant of the original full-size Leatherman, isn't it?

Yes, correct - GT. There was SuperTool, SuperTool 200 and now the SuperTool 300. I have some LMs as well, but they use the imperial system on the bits & drivers so I prefer usually Victorinox. BUT: A well made LM is a great tool to have on your side. I have a BlackOxide Rebar on my daypack in its sheaths. I ended up putting this on there, because all those MOLLE loops need to have a reason to be there... ;) :D :o

You bring up a good point that I hadn't considered about whether metric system is used.
I haven't seriously looked at multi-tools for a long time, but from my superficial knowledge of what features are available, I think I'd probably go for a Rebar if I needed a full size LM today.
Here's a link to a picture of the model I've had for close to 30 years, I think:

GT: The PST is a great tool. I own one as well. It makes a wonderful and lightweight carry.

About the imperial system vs. metric system: 2,56 centimetres are 1 inch ... so this makes it a little odd to get them compared to each other. ;) I´ve used the LM tool, philips driver, while building up one those mass produced cupboards lately, the driver got a little scuffed up due to the non fitting screwhead on the tool. A little annoying, but I´ve learnt something new. Otherwise while deassembling my Marlin .22lr lever action gun, the Rebar flathead drivers are working well. But on a non-US-screw it might be a little more tricky.

Let's see... ordered a green farmer from Germany. Then saw they had black pioneers with red shields, so grabbed two. Then I decided to buy some black farmers. Now, I wait. Did I mention I don't even prefer the farmer?

Alox fever is expensive.

Man, you got the fever, heavily!!! But the black / red shield Pioneers are great. I ordered three and gave one away. One for use and one for my son in some years.

I just received a OH Trekker NS, black handle. I'm waiting on a Pioneer Alox Silver. Not worried, KC ships super quick! :)

I think it's part of Vic's philosophy of a "less" threatening OH knife....sort of an "anti-Spyderco" thing. Just my opinion.

I have a black Victorinox Pioneer on the way. My first Alox. I hope I don't catch the fever like I did with traditionals last year and modern folders the year before.

You will, don't you worry about that. I mean you do have a history with catching "knife" fever. You're screwed...LOL

Medical professionals call it Alox Pox, cowboy! ;);)
I'm afraid Pitor is right. You don't stand a chance! :(:o:(

Purchased a black Alox Pioneer yesterday on the Exchange. I might be coming down with Alox Pox as well while still battling Traditional Fever. Are there any quick cures available?
Got this vintage Excelsior last week. Very cool IMO.

Burgundy farmer came! I can't have it until Father's day but at least I know I have one in case they sell out by then.

Dang! That´s some great looking alox in every way. Like the way it looks. You must be a Happy Camper. But now the wait begins until father´s day.

You will have to fondle with your other beauties until the day comes... :D
