What shoud I sell? What should I keep?

Delete, this issue already discussed (personally i would put down an animal sooner than most, having seen so many go through difficult rehab/surgeries, etc.)..

but i am looing foward to some of those things up on the chopping block.. nice collection

I may have to put myself "down". I only have enough olives for one Martini:grumpy:

Maybe you can find some guys here on the forum that will buy them from you to help you out then sell them back to you if you can swing it down the road? I'd help you out in this way if I can. Aaron

Good idea... I'd kick in on something. Hell right now I trade an LE for a cocktail olive.

Hope your dog gets better after the surgery/treatments.

You should keep the knives that you can't bear to part with.

And you're the only one that can really make the decision.

Sorry about the dog news. Heart wrenching decisions.

If it be me, I'd sell the multiples. You just need (and according to my wife, I use "need" quite loosely...) one. Sure it's nice to have extra, but really, why? Investment. You invest for future needs. Your future needs came early. Sell the multiples and hopefully that will look after the bills. We can't all be Skunk.

Cheers and good luck,
Billy :D

I'm on my way. I'll be there in the morning right off the redeye. Hell, I'll bring a whole jar of cocktail olives. :D

John, I hope that your dog is better off than you think. Hope he gets better soon as well.

Too late... Skunk is already on his way. He wanted my assault scissors after all.

Well bummer... Make MINE a vodka martini (GOOSE)... Shaken NOT stirred... with a twist of lemon. Yes, yes, I know... a martini with a license to thrill, ha-ha. ...But that's how I likes 'em. LOL can anyone MOD the banned smiley to shake up a drink? Maybe lick his lips while shaking? LOL

John, 6 is still pretty young, I'm sure he has more than a few good years coming, several friends of mine have gone through a similar saga and had good results with their dogs.

In my opinion keep any knife that is for you a user.

Next decide how much money, total you are looking to raise.

Then make a list of the knives that will be the toughest to replace.

Sell in order of easiest to replace first.

Then sell according to the above rules till you meet your goal of cash total.

he seems to need the cash soon, there is some urgency. so i would actually do the reverse.

pick a few that are your favorites, then sell the most desired/sought after first. they will sell the quickest for the most money.

Sorry to hear about your dog.
I hope it all works out.
I've got a pair of dogs and know what your going through.
I'd do whatever it takes and give my left n** if it would save my dogs.
Please keep us informed and let us know if there is anything we can do.

Can't help much with the decision on which INFI to keep or sell.
I tell everyone to chose a direction and focus their collection and sell the ones that don't fit the collection criteria.
It could be something as simple as one of each which means sell all the duplicates.
It could mean collecting EDC only at which point sell the larger blades.
It could mean collecting Choppers which means sell the smaller EDC sized blades.
Well you get the idea.
Good luck.

Sorry to hear about your dog. I hope everything will be ok soon with him/her.

This is a tough call. I agree with Papathud.

Thanks for the condolences about the dog. He's been a really good dog, and deserves to have some INFI sacrificed on his behalf. I think I'll start with the half dozen duplicate Game Wardens.

That was my first thought. Sell dupe's first. Screws with your trading ability later, but the dog is 100x more important.

Sell the Wardens.....they go quick and easily replacable.

-All 4 AKs that they had at the company store 2
-Ruck Kensei
-War Boar x3 (snakeskin & tan, Red G10 and black, black micarta and black)
-FBM LE
-CG FBM x4 (snakeskin & tan, jungle and mag black/green G10, mag green linen & -green, mag blue/black G10 and gray)
-Ram Warden x3
-Buffalo Warden x2
-Orange Warden x3
-Yellow Warden x2
-Black Micarta, Black GT, PE SMOG, & Fried Fish Wardens (one of each)

-Hell Razor x2 (green with mag black, tan with mag tan)
-Mud Razor
-Mole Jac
-Muddy Mojo
-Paul's Hatchet
-Snakeskin & Tan Satin Jac Tac
-SJT variant from recent extravaganza
-SHSH
-SHBA

Reds Keep......Green Sell.......if that isn't enough......whatever you aren't using should go.

He's about 6, which isn't young for a Rott, but he still at least potentially has a few good years ahead of him. If it starts looking like the treatment is just prolonging pain, I'll end it.

Hi John, first, condolences!

We are going through this with our dog right now. He was diagnosed with a grade III mast cell tumor in his rear paw last fall by our vet. Initially given 6-9mo by the the local oncologist. He was put on Prednisone and CeeNu. We sought two other opinions and finally wound up taking him to MedVet in Columbus for 10 radiation treatments.... Treatment IS expensive. To figure $3,000-$5,000 isn't goning to miss by much.

We won't know the effectiveness of the treatments for a while but the tumor on his paw is gone. We just have to wait to see if it spread before we got it....

We've learned so much about dog cancer over the last many months. I won't go into all of it but shoot me an email if you want more detail.... We knew the radiation was not likely to work and perhaps (pursuiant to an earlier comment), it would be 'more humane' to put him down but we were not ready to do that. I don't know that we've done any good but we gave it the best shot we could.

Tony is right on - the good thing is they don't know they are sick.... Some days they are "punky" but they don't feel sorry for themselves and such...

You and your Rot will be in our prayers!

Ken

sorry to hear about your pooch, keep us informed on how it does (male or female?)

do you have any kids or an extra wife you could sell? one wife should be more than enough IMHO opinion and no this is not a wanted to buy post!

if your kids are older go ahead and sell them too, as they get to be a real pain in the butt and will always come home anyway.

you can lower your heat to save some bucks and use the infi to chop up the extra furniture for the fire. you won't need the extra seating after the wife and kids are gone.
