What shoud I sell? What should I keep?

Maybe you can find some guys here on the forum that will buy them from you to help you out then sell them back to you if you can swing it down the road? I'd help you out in this way if I can. Aaron

I would do likewise if it would help .

I have in the past been in a position to sell Busse knives over a need to raise funds.

The knives I have managed to hang onto still manage to keep the interest of avid collecters because they are rare or one of a kind Busse knives.

Cept for the Basics which not many folks seem to get excited about these days, unless they have had a chance to use them.

Those who actually used the Basics seem to be a solid Fan club and have taken advantage of the continuing low prices on the Basics to accumulate any number of them.

Like I said, Keep users first, Busse knives are above all else User Knives.
Straight Handled Steel Hearts and Badgers seem to have a permenant place in the "Want to Buy" portion of the Forums and unless one or more of the big collectors lose interest will continue to disapear into The Busse Black Holes.

As for the rest there might well be varying opinions.

I'm with tsilocis, Lil' Foo and papathud. Start out with the duplicates and work your way toward the users and any that are of special signifcance to you. I hope that your dog recovers and before you run out of INFI.

It looks like I'm not going to have to sell anything off after all. The cancer metastasized and spread to his lungs. It's terminal and not treatable, except for pain meds and antibiotics to stave off secondary infections.

My thanks to those who offered their help and/or sympathies.

John, Sorry to hear about your dog. You have given him a good home and your friendship continue to do so He knows you are there for him. J

I'm glad this came up to the top - I missed it before.

I'm sorry to hear about your pup. I hope things turn around for him soon.

In the meantime, definitely sell all of the duplicates. Keep, primarily, your user. After that, keep the one's that have really "spoken" to you - just like your buddy/pooch!

Best of luck, bro!

Sorry to hear the latest news - it's a pretty lousy resolution. Glad you had those six years, and I hope the remaining time is well spent.

I am so sorry for your pending loss.

FWIW, my advice would have been to sell those knives of recent production that are likely to come around again in the production rotation, keep the old ones and any not-to-be-repeated LE's.

sorry to hear about your good friend, kind thoughts and good prayers headed your way!
