What should be my next small lightweight knife?

DragonFly! all the way.

Cold Steel Hold Out III, I got one in AUS-8 and it is an excellent small, slim knife.
It disappears in my pocket and still has close to 3" of blade.
They can be had for 70 in XHP or 30 for AUS-8.

The Fallkniven U2 is definitely my favorite small folder. A solid little lightweight made from excellent materials.

My wife got me this last Christmas.
It's an AG Russell K12 , one hand knife.

It's about the size of a Kershaw Leek , but it's all titanium so it's light.
Easy to flick open and you can close the knife with your thumb and flick closed. It's available with a few different handle scales.
I use it for office carry all the time. It can ride comfortably inside your pocket, but aslo has a deep carry, reversible pocket clip.

And this, my friend, is what I hoped to discover. Russell K12 is in the mail. THANK YOU!

Already mentioned, Cold Steel Mini Tuff Lite - only 1.5 ounces, and the double choil design makes this little knife feel bigger than it is:

Another great full-sized, but super lightweight (3.0 ounces), option is the Manix II Lightweight:

Also comes in translucent blue:

One of my favorite knives of all time. My S110v M2 LW comes with me everywhere I go, and waits outside in my truck right now. However, it is certainly not a knife I can pull out in my office break room :)

I have one of the new Mini Grips (555-1) and it is quite nice. I also have two originals, one with AWT scales and one with Cuscadi CF scales. That Kabar is a classy looking knife, but I really prefer one-handed openers.

Understood--so, any progress on your decision? I think I'm holding out for a new grip with a tanto blade and darker g10.

The K12 looks great, just wish the steel was a little more premium for the price, but I'm sure it wont matter. Has anyone dyed the new gray G10 grips? I think dyed black with the blue spacers would look great.

What about over 4" but exactly 3 ounces?

Not good for my office, but what you got? After buying the 0452cf (perfection IMO), I don't feel very compelled to buy another 4" folder. I never did bite on the Al Mar Untralight.

Broken Skull

It's exactly 3 oz. Cold Steel lists the total contents' weight, which includes the second pocket clip. A lot of knife for that weight.
