What should be my next small lightweight knife?

Benchmade Shoki 480-1, 1.8 oz., 2.8" M390 blade
Discontinued, but worth the search

This looks awesome, love the 50/50 choil. The search begins!

No one mentioned Benchmade 940 /940-1?
ZT770CF is worth a look too. Larger and more comfortable handle than the 0450.
I'm getting an Inkosi as well.

I actually have a 0770cf and 940-1... Great knives (pitty the ZT isnt KVT), but too big for my office carry unfortunately. I agree about the 0450 handle, and it rarely sees pocket time compared to the 940-1 and Mantra2.

Mini cqc7. 2.9" Pretty small in my book.
It's an Emerson, so you either hate it or really love it

Lion Steel TRE. 2.9" blade of M390 goodness. Ti framelock with G10 on the opposite side. Weighs in at 2.6oz. I just picked one up and absolutely love it. My only gripe is the pocket clip really does not fit the design, but that is easy to overlook because I think the rest is so well executed. You can pick them up for under $200.

I like the look as well, but the lack of a clip/axis lock on the 480 has always been deal breaker for me..

The 531 is the best of both worlds, small/lightweight and you get the axis lock/clip..

Good suggestion, but I had one but something about the ergos was all wrong for me. That and the oddly sharp opening waiting for your finger below the flipper didn't help either. I Really tried hard to like it with those specs and good looks, but it just wasn't for me unfortunately.

A.G. Russel Featherlite in VG-10.

Awesome knife in on of the lightest packages I've ever encountered.

Keep searching for what YOU want, lots of good suggestions posted. What about the William Henry E6. Just under 3 inches super light with various inlays. I have one with cocobolo inlays. A little above your price point but very classy. Regardless enjoy your search.

The E6 looks awesome. Not the biggest fan of coated blades, but as a package its very nice. Added to the wish list, thank you!

I've always steered away from that knife, not sure why... maybe the symmetry or thinking it would feel cheap. I have an old BM 350 that I kinda hate for that reason, which is probably an unfair comparison. I've never held one so I'll put that on my to do list. Thank you!

Absolutely. I have to admit that I like reading these "what should I buy" threads, I see a number of knives I don't know anything about but can often be the cause of trouble with the wife. So thanks to all contributors I see a few things here that are making my wallet shrink.
